You really are that retarded?

Apprently you can't read text or dates. It says BANNED beside the OP's name in every one of his posts. You chose to bump an 8 month old thread to make a very lame attempt at mocking the OP. You FAIL....again.

I must be the only one here who can't stand a Maserati. I find their cars lacking engineering depth and simply a case of slapping an exhaust to fake that exotic note and tons of leather inside that's all. I don't even like how it looks. Too fat to be sporty.

You do realize that Ferrari builds the engines for the Maseratis?

I was told the "beautiful" sound u hear comes from the exhaust alone and is achieved entirely via exhaust and not from induction and Jeremy Clarkson once remarked that it's like a hooker's smile. In fact, the sound even trumps those from V8 Ferraris, so that's a little dodgy.

Cheers.
it looks better and sounds better but does not perform like an M3. that being said if i could afford it i would probably buy it. but for the price id probably go for a porsche 911

I know right. This thing looks sick just sitting still. I already know it sings when at full tilt.

I think that's a fair way to put it - I have the E93 with the 450 lb weight penalty and I've pulled (only slightly) on a gran turismo from 20-45 mph and was still pulling when we both let off the gas (not sure which version - assume it was base model). I'm sure track times for E93 and GT are similar - and E90 an E92 would clearly outperform it in acceleration and in track.

I have an M3 and a Maserati GT. Both great cars. The M3 is probably a bit faster around a track but in reality if you are serious about tracking get a real track car. If you want a great road car that is also a fun track day car they will both fill the bill.

My father has two, a Gran Turismo S and an S spyder. Ive driven them both and it's an apples and oranges comparion with an M3. The M3 is faster (not by much),alot more solid and an all around better driving car. The maserati, as a gran touring car is great. Sure it's a little softer and more luxorious, but its supposed to be. I would take the maser over a CL, 6 series, or any other type of car in that class. The Maseratis sound intoxicating, look great, and have an intangile element of passion that only comes from Italian cars. Neither is better or worse, they are just tailored for different tastes.
