Miss my car

So I got in a hit and run accident and the rear drivers side fender got completely messed up beyond repair. They had to replace the quarter panel. Damage ended up coming out to $9k.

It's going on 3 weeks without the M and I can honestly say I'm starting to miss it.

Pointless I know, just thought I'd share. All you guys who's cars are in full working condition are too lucky

Reminds me of the time when I had my Evo, and a Harley Davidson motorcyclist did a hit & run on me...

...I sped after chasing him until I got his plates while shifting & on the phone with 911.

Don't worry, time will fly and you'll have your baby back in no time.

Meanwhile, time to focus on racking up those posts on this forum!

hey sorry to hear about that! It will be over before you know it. Once you get it back youll drive the hell out of it and forget it was gone! i had mine out for 2 days and it sucked, we feel your pain!

i feel your pain. saw your other post about the paintless dent removal, then the following day your car crossed my path at an intersection. i said to myself, that is way beyond what pdr can fix.

a week later my freakin car gets hit too, about 8k in damage. its been in the shop for a few weeks now... at least my prius rental is giving my wallet a break on gas!

where did you end up bringing it for repairs?

Went 2 months without mine, but for mechanical problems (transmission, engine) not hit-and-run. It sucks being without it for so long. Don't worry JJ, karma's a bitch, and the hit and run guy'll get what's coming to him.

But karma doesn't fix your car. You have my condolences.

Ouch, well I haven't had mine all winter so 3 months...ish I drive it in short spurts here and there but not good enough.
Sucks we have to insure the car when it's not being driven. I need to add changes to my policy now that I think of it.

here's the only picture I got. the damage is actually more than what it shows in the photo. You don't really get a sense of depth in this crappy iphone picture.

Maybe get some challenge bumpers, VRS boot lids etc while its in and being painted, heck why not get a SC too, save yourself the downtime kill 4 birds with one stone?

Did it touch your Advans? Their finish is very nice compared to some aftermarket wheels and would be difficult to match on a repair

We are up to our asses in snow here in the east, and it seems every couple of days we get more which means the roads are in horrible condition. I miss my car too, but it looks like it is going to be at least another month of garage confinement before things clear up enough to take her out to play.

There is no "panel" to replace there so I assume they had to cut? I feel your pain, sorry to hear about it...
