LOL. You guys try coming to Glendale. Every single G35+G37 driver is a complete douchebag. Try to race me any chance they get. Go out of their way to come next to me and stare me down lmfao

I used to get more idiots wanting to race when I had my E46 M3 than the E92, could be the sound of the after market exhaust that keeps them at bay now...

The G owners are pissed off they didn't buy the faster 350/370Z and are stuck in their bloated land yachts.

That always made me wonder.. Why would anyone buy the G versions while the 350/370Z 's are more of a sports car and cheaper.

In any case, I didn't like the 350Z much (we used to own one). The engine was too rough.

I just ignore them. Pointless. Take that to the track and then figure out who's boss

Simple. G37 has rear seats. I can speak to this as I recently flipped my G37S 6mt for my M3. I was in a different financial situation and the car seemed like a good choice at the time. My observations of the car, over the 6 months I owned it (which should tell you something) are as follows :
Not a bad interior, with a better nav/in-dash system than my CCC iDrive (not that that's saying all that much)
Engine was OK actually... Sure, it was a bit rough, but pretty torquey and flexible. I started to enjoy the exhaust note as well.
Handling... Not wonderful. Nose heavy, pushed in corners, but could be provoked into oversteer fairly easily.
On the track I managed to hit limp-mode in under 3 minutes. Not impressed. As I understand this is not unfamiliar territory for this engine even in a 370Z.
Brakes were good, but I expected more from the big monobloc calipers.

Overall, a solid car for daily driving. Not terribly exciting and NOT suited to a track, even if just on occassion.

Now, having said all that, my M3 is 10 times the car the G will ever be. Its much more direct, nimble, and clearly much quicker through any measure. Better feel from the steering wheel, brakes and clutch (the clutch on the G was very on/off and a bit annoying). Shifter isn't as good as the G, but I'll take that shortcoming any day.

Just my .02... I'm expecting change.

G37 has rear seats
350/370z noise level is pretty rough, G37 addresses that
G37 more usable trunk

The G37 is a good value and was on my radar when I was shopping around for a car. I think it's a good looking car and with tasteful aftermarket parts they can look really good.

I have never run into a G37 douche, Mustang guys have been the one's looking for a run.

I also don't think it's fair to compare a G37 with an M3. Prolly closer to a 335.

I shopped the G37 coupe and sedan prior to picking my 2nd Evo. The sedan was a good car and I liked it but a bit big. The coupe was slower and my head could not clear the ceiling unless I was almost laying down in the front driver seat. I drove the 350Z and it was easily 2x faster and felt a ton more responsive accelerating and cornering than either car. The Evo was a lot faster than any of these cars and offered 4 doors so that won out in the end.

The G37 sedan would be a great family car but the coupe really had no justification unless you wanted a cruiser that looked cool but had no guts.

There are douches in all cars, plenty in our M3's too. Ignore em.

I know the G has rear seats, but I thought they were pretty useless. Didn't know about noise level (though it makes sense). More usable trunk is a surprise too.

370Z/G37 definitely a good value car.

FWIW: I can't speak for everyone, but I bought my old G37 Coupe because it offered a little more luxury than the 370z AND because it looks better IMHO.

Happens to me a ton as well. There are at least 5 "hooked up" G35/37's in my area. If my son is in the car with me i ignore and motor on. If not....I embarrass them with whomever they are with. =)

My G37s 6MT Coupe was a great car. Not everyone is looking for something that is track ready. It was a comfortable drive, offered sport features and looks, and the price was unbeatable in that market. The lease rates are really good on them as well. It is in the same price range as a 328. I'd way rather have the G than a 328. A 335 is significantly more expensive than the G similarly equipped.

The rear seats were usable for short trips, but nothing more than that. The trunk was relatively small too... because it has a spare tire.

I thought it was nice that they added a lot of the cool sport features (19" wheels, sport brakes, contrast stitching, etc.) standard.

Given the M3 is a much better car, but let's be honest it's almost twice the price. My G Coupe was $40K MSRP and my M was $72K MSRP. That's not even close.

My buddy and I have traded off wearing the helmet either as the driver or passenger or both, but always drive like grandmas and usually it's to or from the track with all the commuters. We always get a good laugh

I have a vert too - a few weeks ago was the first time a G coupe tried to race me - A G37s to be precise - I'm at a light in the right lane - G37S pulls up in left lane next to me - light turns green...

I give it medium amount if gas - G37 totally floors it - and gee whiz - I can't help myself - I floor it in first - shift to second and then third at redline - crushed him (even with 450 extra pounds that vert has)...

These guys must not know cars very well - because if they did (and assuming their cars aren't modded) they would know that even an E93 has a better horsepower to weight ratio than thei cars (unless they knew they weren't as fast and just wanted to see how they would do)...

Anyway - at the next light - the G37S accelerated nice and slow... Lol!!!

Even though I own an M3 I still like the G series and will always say the G35 coupe styling is and always will be a timless design (better looking than it's bmw rival and close in performance). You are all saying that G35/G37 always try and race you but I think 335 drivers are the ones trying to compare with the M3. two different cars in different classes. Infiniti had plans for an M3 fighter not sure what happened to the plans who knows maybe a detuned GTR engine.

That is hilarious. That guy is awesome.
Seriously that is hilarious. I need to get the reflective visor and do this. Even better with a passenger. Haha
