loudess of the m3 exhaust

Do you think that m3 with modified exhaust is one of the loudest road car?

An ycar can be 'the loudest' with a modded exhaust. Why would you even compare a modified car to a stock car?

It depends but the exhaust on a cross plane crankshaft V8 will always be more impressive to me than our flat plane crankshaft V8 on the M3.

M3 is cross plane, not flat plane. I think the flat plane sounds awesome.

That Carrera GT w/ straight pipes sounds AMAZINGGGG!

If I wanted insane sound from my M3 I'd go with an Eisenmann Race Muffler + Gintani Catless X-pipe!

My bad. In ignorance I thought the Mercedes C63 and the BMW M3 differed in sound because of the difference in the plane of their crankshafts.[insert humble smiley here]

The 5.0 Mustang GT's are like 2x as loud when catless. I think the same goes for a lot of of the current gen muscle cars (aka srt-8's).

Couldn't find that video or any that match that Carrera GT in fact on YouTube. Regardless, awesome car.

Basically ALL OF THEM except Ferraris . Even Ferrari-engined Maseratis have cross-plane V8s. And yes, I like the sound of a cross-plane V8 much better myself. By the way, those thinking the flat-plane crank V8 is some kind of exotic beast, V8s started life with flat-plane cranks in the late 1800s, until better technology gave birth to the cross-plane crank in the early 1920s (more complex and expensive to manufacture). Have a good one folks.

It should work if you go to YouTube and search for VRAlexander. There are a collection of videos, both of this Carrera GT and his Porsche TT eating up everything else on the planet. The guy could seriously drive; on the posted video (from the PCH in Malibu, I think), most people would have lost total control and ended up in the median...or the ocean.

He was in the Porsche TT when he crashed in Nevada.

Sorry to get off topic!
