Ok, so im not the only one here. I was looking at it and it seems like a 2nd turbo. Had to back track and read the spec sheet....Its a single twin scroll single turbo..

Its an electric waterpump. That's why it has what looks like a standard coolant hose coming off it directed into the side of the engine. BMW is getting away from belt drive to increase efficiency.

I'm glad its a VO 1M. Now I can finally see it in person and no one has to try to explain it to me. Lol. South, or anyone there, are you allowed to sit in the 1M? Or is that totally off limits. I think its kind of funny that they haven't put the option prices on the spec sheet yet especially since its on bmwusa. I'm looking forward to seeing the new N20 too.

It was open today for the press, and I imagine it will also be open to the public as well since the 1Ms at recent autoshows (Dallas for example) have been unlocked for the public to sit in.

ELECTRIC WATER PUMP..

note belt routing.. crank - tensioner - alternator - ac compressor..... no water pump..

the yellow z4 is growing on me.
I concurre with you "Drivehard" that is the water pump; which probably they are still using that plastic propeller.
I am so impressed with the 4-cylinder turbo; amazing horsepower and torque.

Well, I have seen this yellow Z4 with my own eyes and wasn't impressed. It's just plain yellow, wears out very quickly. I'd like to have at least some metallic in it or something else...you drive this car for one weekend and then it's so last season. A proper M-colour has dimensions, like IB or MR that doesn't wear out quickly and provide "visual experience" more dynamically depending on weather and other inspection factors.

Scott's photos of the red coupe at the Shanghai show have the new LED headlights.

The LED lights are on my ordered US spec coupe, as an option. Dunno exactly when it will get here, but they'll be on it...

There's one coming very soon (E90 though, not E92). Also check out the Speed Yellow M3 pics there which looks close to Atacama but lacks the orange undertone.
