ATTN: Midwest Members - Mid-Winter Track Day Sat, Jan. 12th, 2013 - Gingerman Raceway
Hey Guys,
We've gotten Gingerman to agree on hosting a track day this weekend seeing as how the weather is suppossed to be warmer (high of 56 in South Haven forecasted at the moment). It should be open track format from 9am-5pm unless there is a huge difference in driver skill level or simply too many drivers. Come enjoy this unseasonably warm weather we are having (and lack of snow!). Dust the car off and come join us for a day of rare winter fun! The cost is $150. No need to preregister. Just show up! See you guys there! Austin |

Fuck!!!! I'm out of town. This would have definitely helped me through the winter. Please do this again if the future looks bright

You guys missed a great day! About 24 cars showed up - enough that Chrissy had us break into two groups.
I took my fuel saver 94' Miata out. With nothing more than a cheap set of coilovers, Carbotech XP8 pads, and some 225/45/15 RS3s on 15x9 inch wheels, I was able to get down to a 1:50.51. On a perfect lap, it's got the potential to do a 1:49 or so. Not bad for a bone stock powered 1.8L miata with A/C and Powersteering. 100whp and 2600lbs FTW. We're talking about trying something in February is the forecast shows good weather. Does 5-6 days notice work alright for everyone? |
