It does seem odd that the M3 pulled on the V that hard especially after the V finally hooked.
Also, a 650hp V is pretty minor bolt ons.

There was a 700hp V Coupe at my track last year that couldn't break out of the 12's cause it couldn't hook for shit even with DR's.
2 things I'm seeing here ......1 the M is DCT and lighter " major advantage "
2 the CtsV is manul " disadvantage " & heavier .

If the VF650 wants a comparable race then he should run a D3 car. My V has a 2.9L whipple, valvetrain, and cam right now putting down almost 700whp running rich to redline. the race would be the other way around if i ran that. But the VF650 is impressing me alot....wonder if its faster than the ESS 650
are you by any chance the gentleman that called out a few cars in the New York area ? One being a GTR ? The gentleman that you spoke to name is Dru ? If I disregard

But hey I wouldn't mind running your CTSV ... You Game ?

Anyone who discounts the CTS-V simply because it is a Cadillac or because it is an American car is pretty obviously insecure, or a brand whore. Hey haters, try growing a hairy pair and learning to appreciate all cars. Then again, I know it can be threatening when a car with a 556 horsepower supercharged LSA, and Magnetorheological shocks outperforms yours so drastically, all the while costing less
Actually a DCT with bolt ons can hang with a stock CTS-V, 1/4 mile results and 60-130 times prove that. I also ran a friends stock CTS-V in my DCT M3 with just bolt on's and it was very close. Nice kill for the VF650 though, a Henessey V700 CTS-V went 8 flat 60-130, I'm sure they can go faster, but those results are not terribly surprising.
You're kidding right? Without a blower none of the M3s will touch the CTSV stock let alone modded and I don't care how many bolts on you have. I rape non supercharged M3s all day and i drive a 3 series 335. Lol

a stock V with a good driver should do 11.9@118.....i did 12.1@117 bone stock still trying to figure out how to modulate the throttle

You base your assumptions on what, the results of your 335I?

As I stated I ran a stock CTS-V with a bolt on "DCT" M3, there's a difference vs a 6MT M3, and yes I was able to hang with a STOCK CTS-V, on numerous runs, the results were posted, it was a few years ago, the vid is no longer up though, regardless you can read the commentary if you need convincing.

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/b...lac-cts-v.html

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e90...e55-amg-2.html

My car only made 377whp, and I ran 12.1 @ 116 and 11.88 @ 118, both are in the realm of a STOCK CTS-V with 556 BHP. There's a couple vids on youtube as well where recently a bolt on DCT M3, ran against a stock 2011 CTS-V and their 1/4 mile times and traps were very close, just type in DCT M3 Vs CTS-V and 3 separate vids will show up. M3post member ERM324 posted that his FBO M3 was a car ahead of a stock CTSV up to 130MPH as well.

Regardless there is enough proof, not just opinion, that it is in the realm of possibility that a Bolt On DCT M3 can "hang" with a Stock CTS-V, in most cases I'd probably give a slight edge to the CTS-V, of course you would need FI of some sort to easily beat a stock CTS-V, a VT535 would easily do the job.

1/4 mile times for both cars in question -

Bolt on DCT M3's 1/4 mile times -

11.88 @ 118.xx MPH - 1.81 60' - DLSJ5 - Bolt On's, GIAC tune
12.00 @ 116.15 MPH - 1.93 60' - erm324 - Bolt On's, OE tune
12.29 @ 115.63 MPH -1.95 60' - Cptn Mo 307 - Bolt On's, OE tune
12.51 @ 115.89 MPH -1.98 60' - M3DCTBT - Stock X-pipe, OE tune

I've taken a stock ctsv with my car when I was bolt on/tuned, not sure why thats hard to believe given my traps are Drew's traps are right around what a stock ctsv should trap.

I've found that quite often it's 335I owners who doubt the M3's abilities, I've also noticed that a few of them eventually get an M3.

Is it possible that you could be a bit frustrated in life because you did'nt had the money for a F10 M5!?

FBO DCT M3 , 11.8 118mph:

the question is if a stock CTS-V could hang with him!

A stock V does not come close to the 11's. My buddy has a modified one that can't come close to that. With a tire maybe. Stock, not a chance. The m3 and the v's 1/4 times aren't too far off

You do not know what you are talking about. With the mods in your sig, a stock M3 would run fairly even with you on at slower speeds and would walk away from you around 100 mph. If you don't have an LSD or good tires, the M3 would beat you off the line...badly. I've owned two n54 335's (one 6MT and one 6AT) in the last 6 years and tried all the mods and been in many races with M3's and know the capabilities of both.

I can show you a ten second time slip from a mustang, it doesn't mean it's stock. Either way, the fact that were even having a debate about a naturally aspirated 4.0 Vs a supercharged 6.2 Explains everything. GM always under performs
