Good luck w/the sale! Quick question...was the smell that bad? I'm assuming you can only smell it at stoplights & not during driving.

Thanks Nucking. The smell was not so bad for me, since I'm used to it. It was my passengers, my family and friends, that couldn't stand it. Whenever the windows were down at a light, or when I was pulling out of the driveway or into the garage, they couldn't stand it. I was contemplating getting the removable cat portion, but after this Agency Power fiasco, I figure I'll just run the stock pipes, since the stock pipes are already on anyways.

You're welcome & thx for the info! Did you notice a dramatic loss in hp/tq downlow w/these Riss Racing straight pipes? Thx!

I never noticed this, since I just took my car in, and Riss just took care of everything, but when I went in to RennSpec today to take a look, the lengths were slightly off. The pictures make it look a bit worse than it actually is, and propped against a wall and set straight, it didn't look too bad. However, mastek is correct. I'm sure that it's easily correctable by any exhaust shop though, and for not that expensive. Sorry for not picking up on that earlier, I was tired and frustrated while dealing with other issues. (Refer to thread link posted in original post.)

Taking this issue into consideration, I'm dropping the price to $650.00 OBO. I'm sure you can get that slight length difference fixed at any muffler shop for not that much, and I'm letting it go for pretty cheap. It's a good X-pipe otherwise, I just don't want to breathe in fumes and deal with CELs from running catless anymore.

Haha, I know you weren't. Sorry for the late response, I don't get on this forum that much often anymore. I'm more of a M3forum guy now. That's why I tell people to just PM me, since PM updates are sent to my e-mail. I'm just trying to be as fair as I can, so I decided that it's only fair to drop the price a bit for buyer inconvenience. It does sound good though, and hopefully someone picks it up. For the most part, it's not too bad on fitment, and it worked great on my stock muffler, plus having the price this low gives the buyer some wiggle room to get it lengthened a centimeter or whatever at a shop to get it right. I had some problems sticking the Agency Power mufflers to this x-pipe, but if you read my Agency Power thread through, it becomes pretty evident as to why.

btw Harris, is the x-pipe that's currently on your car like mine? If so, I'd guess all the Riss ones are like that, and not just mine?

After going to Gintani, I realize how shitty the fitment of the xpipe is. It's too short, also it's crooked and evenly spaced between the heat shield so ANY aftermarket muffler will be needing some serious tweaking (guys at Gintani took 4 hours) to make the exhaust line up right. Also I found out the x-pipe does NOT use the middle brace which is for support that is very much needed when you go aftermarket because of the added stress/resonance. Overall I seriously believe RR needs to incorporate using the cross brace as well as getting the fitment like OEM which it is clearly not.

Fitment

The Akrapovic X-pipe and ehen I ran Active autowerke signature series rear exhaust was perfect fitment just like stock. I als bolted up my Akra X-pipe with the OEM muffler also perfect fitment. Sometimes you pay a price for buying something of lesser quality. Just my Honest opinion.

Yep, well, that's why I'm selling so cheap, so whoever picks up can spend just a little more getting it fixed at a shop.
