Reminder: E9x M3's sound amazing
Was digging through old vids and found this one from 5 years ago of an autocross with some bumper cam. It's a Stock car on Hoosiers with MPE. <3. The first minute and a half is the best.

I could never trade the glorious aural experience of the E9X M3 in for the sound of a FX-M (gas lawnmower) or that which is devoid of sound, the electric car (electric lawnmower), no matter what.

I honestly believe my old MPE with stock x-pipe produced the very BEST sound I have ever heard on an E9x; however, paired with a catless x-pipe, and words cannot effectively describe the horrible result!
Found the "sweet spot" pairing a catless x-pipe with the Akra slip-on, and now back to that good'ole "angry" V8 sound!

Nice!
Here's my car on the track, stock exhaust, with a cheap lapel mic taped to the back bumper. Anyone who says the stock exhaust sounds bad needs to think again.

The stock exhaust sounds great. Just not very audible inside the car and driving regularly on the street!
