DCT noise - clutch actuators?

Greetings,
I've had a browse around and cannot see that this noise is mentioned in other threads. My MY11 with 110k K's the clock has started making quite loud "Tinks" or "Clunks" when changing gear at low speed. Clearly audible outside the car. Seems to work just fine but has developed this noise. I saw one thread refer to a cow bell sound coming from the left side... maybe the same noise. Having no real clue how these things work but I can visualize actuators engaging or disengaging clutches.. Are there adjustments / serviceable parts? Thanks..

Same is happening with mine - I'm thinking it's actually the U-joints from the driveshaft.

Me too I have the same problem. Noise and the transmission bangs sometimes when I am at low speed. It's really annoying but I never find the problem

I changed the engine mounts - that kind of a helped a little. Next step is the driveshaft, let's see what happens.

I had the engine mounts done a few years back. Browsing round Pelican parts seems terminology is different to what im used too. So driveshaft (what id call it) is the propeller shaft and driveshafts are what I'd call (rear) axles?

Definitely the center propeller U joint. If you start to hear a grinding noise on deceleration then your center bearing is going as well. That's where I'm at currently and I'm waiting on the group buy for the carbon fiber one piece so I can knock both issues out at once.

thanks for the link... pretty cool. I think with the amount of service work coming up, as much as I love this car... it might become someone else's tink and clunk . GeorgeA I'd still be interested how you go?

I'm waiting for a driveshaft as well and I'll report back. But I feel you, it gets expensive having to replace part after part.

So definitely prop shaft related. Its the shaft that's ringing giving it that cow bell sound. Seems obvious now. Saw some poor bloke on youtube replace the rear prop shaft CV joint without success. Didn't get 5 metres before a "tink".
