Are you running any brake ducting? Kind of looks like it from one of the pics. Trying to figure out where the air is coming from, if so.

No brake ducts the csl intake hole is what your seeing. There is a hole in the fender well also but no ducting run and no where to run it from on passenger side of csl bumper

Ok. On that first pic I saw something resembling ducting on both sides of the radiator fan below the headlights and wasn't sure. (I don't know the E46 very well, though.) Are the RC-1s growing on you at all?

Congrats!!! Glad you got everything mounted ok. I know getting the wing lined up correctly was a pain. Now time to hit the track and get it dialed in.

ran the car on track yesterday for first time with aero. hard to tell the difference which is disappointing but wasnt apples to apples comparison. the track in question has a new corner which is about 1 second slower and i was on maxxis rc1 which are slightly slower than nt01s and way slower than c51 which i was on last time at this track. best guess is i was 1 second a lap quicker with aero as is. Front tended to be a little more pushy in slow stuff, partially driver, and didnt really fully trust the grip so didnt just bomb it thru the fast stuff. car was more stable under braking. i messed with lower front pressure to attempt to control understeer and will most likely take out some rear camber next alignment. will have to creep up on the aero limit in fast stuff in coming sessions.

Picked up my new set of FFD wheels this past weekend and mounted up some new r1s today. Have track day thursday to give them a shot. My initial impression is good. The style and color will have to grow on me I think since im used to having black ec-7 or similar p40 rep looking wheels for so long. Weight was good and as advertised, with r1s mounted they are actually 4.5 lbs lighter than my ec-7s with maxxis rc1s. So makes car 2947 dry! Finish is not smooth so may be more of a challenge to keep clean of brake dust but will see, just mounting had black finger prints all over them. Put a coat of rejex on them just for hell of it.

Ran pacific yesteday on r1s for the first time. went with 265s rather than 275s due to extra wide r1 footprint and was worried wouldnt fit. Tire felt hard initially and was worried but ended up being 2.5 seconds faster than nt01s which is what i saw with the c51s as well. Ran hot pressure of 40 and wear looked good but will have to look at them once taken off. rotated corner to corner at lunch and ended up running 195 miles on the track in a hot for here 89 degree day. set personal lap best out there at pacific since hadnt run slick there yet.

Sold my recaros and put in a omp halo seat. Haven't been to the track for 6 months until yesterday. Thought there would be a lot of rust bit to my surprise ran within .6 seconds of my fastest time with rc1 which I consider 2-2.5 seconds a lap slower than r1.

Higher sides in the leg area actually caused me some.pain. they are tight for me and must be still pressing legs out because thigh half way between knee and hip felt bruised on both sides after the day. Still love the better fit
