this might be stupid but i hate the fact that the taillights are different from the coupe's. to me i feel that the styling of the coupe looks so good, but those taillight's on the sedan seem outdated and mercedes-like. just m.o.

Tail lights on coupes have always differed from that of sedans. That goes for most manufacturers.

The taillights have always been major fail. Looks like an old Hyundai Elantra except at night when the LED's look pure win. I read on another blog that the 3 series sedan has a makeover (just refreshening) in 2009 that will include revised taillights and the current DRL setup same as the coupe. I saw the pics of the camo'd tails...looked strangely huge but IMHO anything will be better than the current ones. Sorry I don't have the pics or links but somebody on this board must have them.

I agree. Now, if BMW would only do something about changing the rear lights on this E90, they would have a significantly better looking car to sell. The current tail lights take away from the car's aggressive posture - looks like a wimpy, inexpensive Honda from the rear.

Nothing about the E90 tailights says 'luxury'.
I remember the E46 tailights being similar in both the sedan and coupe. Now on the new 3 series, the talights are different with the coupe and sedan. What's up w/ that? The coupe talights are WAAAY nicer. |
