M3 at the autocross...plus a few friends
Went to my first autocross event in the m3 a few weekends ago. The weather was cold and rainy but eventually cleared up and the sun came out. I have tracked before but this was my first autocross and I must say it was a blast. Very technical running mostly in 2nd gear the whole way through.
The first half of the day was wet and slippery. That was fun because the car would slide around and it was like playing a video game. Once the track dried up people started to get more serious with clocking faster times. My tires were definitely holding me back. I was running hankook v12s and they are good for street but are very insufficient for the hard braking and cornering. Looking to upgrade to NT05's or AD08's along with some RD sway bars soon. overall a great experience. mods are: kw v3 corner balanced by Rennspec ssr sp3 hankook ventus v12 (swapping these out asap before my next track day) full akra exh PC stage 2 drop in and scoops time for pics... the line up car prep staging line on the course |

Nice Car!! any plans to track it too? I tried autocross in my s2000 once and didn't like it much . hated not being able to go WOT.. I've tracked my motorcycles for the last few years and there's nothing like the feeling of taking turns at high speeds and going wide open on the straightaways..
