They're fairly quick scrubs, but nothing like when they're newer. I'm trying flipping rubber on the rims to help the life span. It helps. I'm on my third or fourth set.

Are you guys continuing the development of the E92?

I have 30 to 35 heat cycles on my R1 and should get another day or two.

Ic...yea the car weighs 2967 with 1/2 tank of gas w/o me in it. We added a cf gutted trunk and will have the fiber glass doors in soon. Hopefully we can hit 2850 with it. I'm getting a new diff/clutch/flywheel and wing next. Almost done LOL

Thanks, I'm trying,....but have you watched the IMSA guys last weekend? .....they floor it all the way to 10.
Usually I'm ~0.5 sec off from my virtual Harry's lap time which was 2:2.00 but this time I just couldn't line it up....next time.

So fast! I was at VIR this weekend with SYT Shadow and others. Spent some time watching your video which definitely helped. Best I could do was a 2:05.4 with a virtual best --2:03.5--slower than your actual best . I won't be back until next year, but I'll definitely watch your video a few more times before I go back. Thanks for sharing!

I'll share my video in the next few days...always takes so long to convert from the go pro. My basic track mods are Essex AP Brakes, Ohlins R&T, 275/35 Hankook z214 C51; Test Pipes w/Bimmerworld race exhaust.

2:05.4 is a fast lap time. Congrats! What event was that this last weekend?
You can see where I hit not the floor, that's were I need/will improve next time. As I said, usually I'm ~0.5sec off my virtual best so I should/I hope to get a 2:2.60. M3post helped me a lot in decision making so I try to give something back.
Please post your video and lets keep this forum going!
Thanks!

Is this a fair characterization of the z214?

I ran them on my e46 M3 this weekend and thought they were just fantastic (went 2:06.4 at VIR), but my reference point are other 'less serious' tires like the NT01, RE71R, RS3, PSS, etc.

Thanks man. Shadow shared the group already...PCA Potomac. They have a strange daily schedule, but overall I really enjoy them. Good group of people running the show.

Yeah, no aero, which definitely made the lap feel fast, especially coming up the esses (and tricked me into overslowing for turn 10). Definitely improvements to be made, which makes me anxious for my next chance to go.

Here is a link to video from my lap (I can't figure out how to put the video here directly):

Looks real good. Love the sound. You still have lots of real estate that you can use to further gain speed but the line looks good!
How much hp do you have?

Thanks! I've been through a bunch of mics until I found one (thanks to a suggestion from Vox Populi that I finally followed after two failed attempts at cheaper mics) that picked up the sound of the exhaust well and made the videos a bit more bearable.

Not exactly sure on power as I haven't had it on a dyno with the mods. I have most of the basic power mods (test pipes, Bimmerworld race exhaust, Evolve tune, AA filter, and turner pulleys), so I'd guess based on other reports that I have somewhere between 370-400 wheel hp depending on the day and the dyno?

I expect the car to weigh something like 3650 with me and a full tank.

That's moving right along...what brake setup were you using?

Performance Friction 2-piece Floating Front Rotors for OE Calipers
Calipers are stock. PFC-08 pads with SRF fluid.
No brake fade or performance degradation on a very fast track like WGI
After 11 20-25min. sessions i had more than 50% of front pads and more than 70% rear pads. Started with new pads.
I am trying to brake less now, after all they only slow you down
Again, i am not saying its as good as BBK, but i would save that money for other upgrades
