Anyone going to be at the Nurburgring around July 20-july 28 ?

I'm doing euro delivery soon and will going to the Nuburgring around the end of July. If anybody is going to be there that day and wants to meet + do a few runs let me know. We can setup a day as my plans are pretty flexible.

I suggest renting a track car while you're there. Lots of fun!

i'm possibly free during the weekends. July 27-28 its open full day both days public laps. are you experienced driving on race tracks in the US? driven the ring before?

i was out there last weekend and saw a US euro delivery white m3 coupe that had a nice little souvenir on the back bumper. no idea if it occurred on the track or not. didn't talk to the owner.

anyways, let me know what you want to do and we can go from there.

Yes I am pretty "track" experienced.

I am picking up my car from Welt tomorrow, from there I will spend about 2 weeks breaking the engine in, highway driving, doing the first service and installing test pipes+ess tune before I head over to "the ring".

Does anyone know any good hotels? I found one, but it is about 1hr away from the ring. Looks interesting, might be worth the commute for 1 or 2 days but I want to stay somewhere more local as well.

I will be out there for the rest of the month. I will be shipping my M3 back to the US around August 1st. Come on down Mark, its a great time and the track is not as busy during the week, but a car show on the weekends.

Break in at the ring of course! a test track is the best place.

you want somewhere more local? only place to stay at the ring as far as i'm concerned is at sabine's place. Hotel am Tiergarten. I can also recommend Ring Villa in Adenau. if you want more corporate there is Lindner and Dorint. The Feirenpark is town homes with a private driveway if you are worried about the car. 3 bedroom houses really close.

Hi guys, I will be visiting the Ring July 21st for the day. Staying in Trier with my wife's family. I beleive tourist laps are open 8am-7pm on Sunday. Hoping to get a bunch of laps in. I did Euro delivery in 2010 with my M3 but was too unfamiliar with the car to take a lap at speed. I've been in slow rental cars over the past few years.I have around 10 laps at the ring.

I plan to rent a light track car for the day. Would be great to meet up with anyone else who is there and share some rides.

Another vote for the Tiergarden (011-49-02691-9220-00). It is still owned/run by Ursula Schmidt, the mother of ring taxi driver, Sabine Schmidt. Tons of pictures, etc of the ring and car and history. Great restaurant and breakfast also.
