LOST
I have finally got behind the wheel of the z4m. God i loved it. I am without a doubt wanting to buy one when i get back. Now it only comes down to money. I drove the convertible wasn't too bad. But I love the z4mc. The looks the body line and all. Problem is the lowest priced z4mc with decent mileage was an 06 for 27800, but then i found a 07 with a bit less mileage for 23000 but its the convertible. What should I do? I like the extra space of the hatch, but is it worth saving or investing a few extra thousand? Opinions pls.

Love the look of the Z4MC over the vert! In my experience, you'd feel less regret about spending just a little more to get what you absolutely wanted. Although, it doesn't hurt to haggle a bit either

I had a Z4MC for a year and I agree that stylistically it is gorgeous. As an all-around car it is however impractical (at least for my needs). I bought an E90 M3 instead and it is a vastly superior car. I would buy a convertible Z4 instead that I would use for fun when a nice convertible day is upon us.
Good luck. |

Holy S&^% batman, 23K for a ZMR! If it doesnt have 60k plus miles thats an awesome price. Im guessing this is in the States. But have you ever seen a Roadster with the removeable hardtop? - Still has the lack of room issues but if you like the lines, buy the Roadster now and take your time chasing down a top.
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=506391 http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=506662 Im guessing you are not buying this as a DD. If you are going to track it eventually then the coupe is the way to go, and you wait till you got the cash. It is always good to get what you really want, if you can afford it. The ZM's are great bang for buck right now, many low mile cars out there. Look at the cost of ownership as well though. If $4K is a deal breaker, hope you are a good mechanic with resources, these cars are not the cheapest to own. Good luck, hope you find the car you want. |
