is not the C63, but rather and expensively upgraded C Class (whether C63 or not). By any means, even if only upgrading the interior, it is very different from the M3 and cmpletely in a different league, when looking at the price tag. It's like saying the M5 is the M5 from Lumma (check out that interior if you wanna see M5s nicer than Aston Martins). That's what I was referring to; keep the price in perspective. Best regards, CSL |

in HKG,C63 has stolen many orders from M3 because of the price. (around HKD1.2m vs 1.36m without M-drive). Even E63 is almost the price as M3. What's the price different between E63,M3 and C63 in Europe and US?
If you are clutch fans,M3 is definitely your choice. However I would consider the price and popularity as well. |

explain this to me. It certainly looks nothing like a Suabru Forester. But, I'd care to hear you elaborate. Even though your credibility with such statements is now null.

Not that you didn't need a little calling out - its pretty mean spirited to dog people and their cars like that among what is supposed to be a group of fellow enthusiasts. This, especially when the owners aren't even given a chance to defend themselves. Some of your points were good though. |

ill never get another AMG MB, they are cheap, and MB screws over their buyers by releasing updates and more power on the same model. M3's rarely do that, therefore the resale values stay very strong.

Agree. Also, it will be interesting to compare the comparable lease prices of the M3 and C63. My guess is that the monthly lease price for the M with its high residuals will be appreciably lower.

One of my points will remain real for a long time though, as stereotypes and past history are hard things to overcome; The C has no street credit. It may gain that as time goes on, but it'll take years. S Class owners can't stand them. They're as girlie as the base Sportster HD. The M3 is respected and loved by 5 and 7 Series owners. Many of them have one. To let everyone know, until a few years ago, I was a die hard Benz fanatic. But I know superior workmanship. The tables turned years ago with respect to the quality, service and bang-for-the-buck. Go look at a C350 and you'll get a damned close impression of what a C63 will be. Check the materials, the looks of that strange hood thing they have going and the overall blandness. The M3 looks like an Irish street brawler, the C looks.... gosh... like a *** car! |

I guess it depends which street you live on, since AMG cars have dominated the German touring car championship for nearly a decade now. |

Isn't the C class one of the entry level MBs? Comparing a lower level model with one of the highest level models from another brand is quite the jump.

The C63 is based on the entry level C class. What's the problem? |

No problem, I was asking an honest question since I don't know much about MBs.

Ok, no big deal, but from your post you already suggested that the MB was the entry level car. All you had to know was that the 3 series was an entry level car also to make the connection. Not that I care mind you - I was just providing an honest answer.
