congrats kid..you better treat that car like it's your baby..you better hand wash it yourself..or maybe your dad has someone come over once a week to wash them...if you don't and you take her to the car wash your gonna have swirls all over...and the ceramic clear coat on mercs is HARD..they say scratch resistant but i have a merc s55 and s63 downstairs that say otherwise. and the nicks are small much less than my 335 with less mileage so i guess it works!!!.drive safe and have fun!!! congrats!!!

yes only silver..not a fan of the new front at all...maybe in person but i haven't seen one yet..also not a fan of the red interior or the wheels..honestly i like the old sl550 better than this new one..the front proportion looks all messed up..but for a 17 year ld..my god you gotta be PUMPED..people are gonna be razzing the shit out of you..i would have taken an e63 over that silver arrow in a heartbeat..but if someone just plopped one on my lap for nothing..hot damn i would drive it..sucks though if that car is 115k..the second it was driven off the lot it went down 18k...that's the one thing that sucks about cars over 80k..they depreciate like none other and i don't think just because they made 550 it will be special..the components aren''t anything for power and nothing truly makes it unique besides color combo and side vents..Still i would be super excited if someone gave one to me..it is a beast of a car and that v8 is amazing..but i wouldn't think it's that special...it's not like it's gonna retain value b/c of that..i could go out now and buy a used sl500 for under 40k that's only 3 years old with under 20000miles..they depreciate like crazy..and the sclass is even worse..mercs depreciate worse than any other manufacturer b/c they have so many over 100k cars.. a 2007 s550with 7000miles is only 65k..that guy lost almost half it's value in a lil over 18 months..i would be pissed..
one guy bought an s63 for his girlfriend at my dealer..the bitch said she didn't like it..i guess it was too big..it's a 160k car..they lost 34k bringing it back with 20 more miles the next day..that bitch made her "boyfriend" take a 160k car back and lose $34000..what a bitch..and that car is limited production and has sooo many goodies..trust me we have one..it is a sick car..everyone at the dealer couldn't believe it. but hey they all say any merc over 100k depreciates like a rock falling off the sears tower!!!! so be careful i wouldn't keep that car too long..it won't be worth a whole lot...don't let that 1 out of 550 fool you..and merc has the real #1.. at least that is what others do..they mean #1 to the public.. i hope none of this bursted your bubble..it wasn't meant to..i just want you to be careful so your pops or you don't lose your ass when you go to trade it in in a few years..for how much you lose in depreciation you could of had a 335 and a range or x5..to fool around in..i would have definitely taken that combo instead!!!________ video reviews ________ Volcano Vaporizer Review Last edited by purplewidow; 09-11-2011 at 05:45 AM.. |
