Miss my z06 sometimes, and I agree I don't need all the electrcic gizmos (my M3 is pretty much no options), but it's def not as good as a daily as the M3.

M3 is really a perfect compromise

By the way, do you always track with your visor down? I feel like I'm going to suffocate with the visor down.
i get that suffocating feeling also at times with visor down. there is one section at the ridge where you go down hill and the depression makes my visor shut on its own so i just have been trying to get used to it. dont know how people run with a balacava as well especially on hot days.

I could go on to describe the car in detail and my experiences switching from a M3 if peeps here are interested.

I've gone through many cars to get to my Z06 - and have finally found what I've been looking for. A driver oriented, no electronics aid BS, stiff, powerful, light (3100lb) monster with a gem of an engine and a solid manual no-bullshit tranny!

That car looks like a beast. How do you compare it to e9x m3 in turms of lap times?
I think i will join your club in a year or two with a new zo6. Looks like that car will dominate HPDE events easily
Do you need camber plates for more negative camber like we need for BMWs?

You don't need camber plates for more camber but you will need a camber kit to keep the alignment locked in place. The stock concentrics don't hold a proper alignment for very long and tracking makes the alignment go off in just a couple of sessions.

All Corvettes come from the factory with the superior unequal length, double wishbone suspension. Camber doesnt change with the wheels vertical movement. Much better for track use than Macpherson struts.

Pfadt is ok but there are so many good manufacturers for Vette parts so make sure you do your homework.

I'm running the hardbar camber kit - with -3 in front. I can go up much higher but -3 is a good start. This kit allows me to completely lock my camber settings. Once set, you never loose camber.

pfadt is okay but they're not the best at everything. They have great marketing but there are better vendors out there.

+10..

Here's my camber settings:

I'm running LG GT2 Coilovers with 700/600lb springs - they've made a huge difference to the handling.. the car is on rails now.

I have massive ST60/40 Stoptechs! Awesome brakes!

Here's the Hardbar camber kit - this was the original camber kit.. Pfadt and LG came afterwards. Hardbar is the best! I'm also running brake ducts to the rotors.

My Akrapovic - Incredible build quality (as usual )

I have a MGW Short throw shift - shifts are buttery smooth and millimeter perfect.

Just finished installing a AiM MxL Dash+ECU Bridge, Sparco R383 Wheel with NRG Quick release and hub. This wheel is 330mm and the stock Z06 wheel is a ridiculous 380mm ... the stock wheel felt like driving a truck.. this is much better.

that vette looks ready for war.

woot, this may be a silly question but can the m3 brakes compare to the z06's stock 6 pot set-up at all?

I honestly don't know. I bought the car used and it came with the stoptechs - I never got a chance to push the car hard with the stock setup.

A Z06 comes with with either steel or ceramic brakes. I would say the steel brakes were just OK and probably on par with the M3's but for serious track duty, you were better off upgrading them. The ceramics rotors are in a higher class than the M3's but for serious tracking some guys have swapped out the ceramics for steel.

You can't stop just now. My car almost looks like your identical twin now.

Why not some sway bars and some aero bits??
