Heck, I almost bought one till I took a (wasn't really a) quick drive.

Anybody have a mechanical explanation?
Nissan exaggerates their hp numbers somewhat, and the 335 is rated very conservatively, should be like 330hp stock. The G has good power above 4k, but up to that point, the 335 is kicking it's ass with all that torque from 1500 rpm. I had a modded G and it was pretty fast but it doesn't push you in your seat the way the 335 does. even with the Stillen supercharger kit, the torque with the Procede 335 is way higher-

the only thing that would save the 335i is the procede. Bc its reasonable but trust me, those g37S they will move, and they will get modded. Ive talked to some people that choose the g37S over the 335i to save extra 6-10k and put it straight to modding.. So you will win some and lose some.

the thing is they will not have a warranty with any FI setup, they're pushing that high compression engine in ways that it wasn't designed for. With the procede you can just take it off theoretically and maintain your warranty. Some will probably eat a Procede 335, but they're taking a bigger risk with engine failure too...

A supercharged or turbo G37 will probably match a V2 PROcede. The only diference is that PRocede costs $1450, and a turbo G37 will be 10k + warranty issues.

Just to be fair, keep in mind that the 335i Coupe starts at $40k and the G37 starts at $35k... and you get a lot more "accessories" with the G37 stock than you do with the 335i stock...

That being said, the warranty issue is a big (+) for a tuned 335i coupe.

I would certainly hope that a modified 335 would have no trouble with the new G37...they shouldn't even be compared. We'll see how things turn out stock for stock...the G37 is a great car and it's hard for many people to justify the price difference for the BMW.

No it's not the G37 is just an upgraded Nissan Altima it has no game on the BMW at all in many ways.I used to own a Supercharged G35 and I don't miss it.

Cocky infinity drivers, I killed a G35 on my 323i. The g35 auto blows chunks.

It's nice to see that an AA XEDE 335i (or PROcede 335i) walks a G37...haven't come across one yet, but it's going to be A LOT of fun running with these guys, he he.
And if a 335i beat-down isn't enough to take the starch out of 'em, wait until they go up against "entry-level" 135's.

I think BMW suckered Infiniti big time with the N54.

Kid just smiled and shook his head in class... He has been pretty quiet lately. Doesn't talk about his car with me anymore. He did badger me about when i am upgrading my I/C though. I told him I don't need to anymore because it's already faster than his G37S. College.

Montego Blue... Its the loud one.. with the puny exhaust tips... The only one at school you can hear the turbos spool up and the valves let off. Fully tinted with RPMNorth.com sticker on it. (Thanks anthony and russ) speaking of the sticker.. some jerk pulled up next to me with a TT 335i and said something along the lines of how much HP that sticker give you... I laughed and said a little over 100 to the wheels he laughed at me and then another one added to the list of license plate viewers =)

Look for the Graphite 330 e90 with BlackLines, let me know if you find me. If not lets get some photos of the cars some time, seems like there are many places to get good shots around here . Its not like NY ill tell you that.

I am always parked in the back lot as far away from everyone else as I can. 2 weeks after I got the car some @$$hole was late for class and was driving int he parking lot at like 40 mph in a pick up truck. Hit me and did about 5-7k worth of damage to my car. But whatever I met my current girlfriend that same night. It's funny if it wasn't for the accident I would have no idea when my anniversary is.
