beware of KAL112

first of all I apologiaze for posting this on a wrong column but really this column has the most viewer so I thought it would be best to post here. I sold my Vrs titanium exhaust to kal112 back in march and he lives in Kuwait. I shouldn't have shipped internationally but I got the payment for the exhaust. The problem was the shipping which would have cost me 1200 dollars and he told me to put it under his account which was valid at the time. Nw I am getting a bill from Fedex of 1200 dollars because the account is not valid anymore and it has been month yet no response from Kal112. Just wante to let the forum members so nobody gets the same scam as I did!! PLZ be aware!!

if his shipping acct was valid at the time, then he needs to get billed, regardless of if he closed it recently....u need to resolve this with fedex...same shit happened to me years ago....even tho we closed our account, they still billed us for all the pending shipments...months after the acct was closed. we paid it and it was done...

I called fedex at least 20 times and same answer every time. I am the original shipper so I am responsible for it. I even called fedex before shipping and it was valid,! WTF?

I am in the point where the debt collection company is calling me and if I don't pay they'll get legal actions against me. Really? I mean.. I am thinking of getting a lawyer... or pay and just get it over with.... I hope I'm the last victim.

OK now I just found out that he actually declined the charges. Hah!! Never use receiver pays for shipping because if he denies it u r shit out of luck. I just paid 1200 I guess he needs it haha.. Here I'll give it to ya~~ wipe ur ass with it!!

i've shipped stuff internationally many many times but i always make the buyer pay me for shipping costs and have never shipped anything through other people's accounts. never had a problem so far.

wow thats BS. i would have contacted a lawyer much earlier to see what my options were but i guess you had no choice at that point and lawyer fees probably would have costed just as much if not more.

Ohh, is it shipping or duties? I NEVER ship internationally using FedEx. USPS is MUCH better, as they will not hold you liable for duties.

Well, since your buyer just crashed his car... maybe he was a little preoccupied. Hopefully he will make it work.

Many of them Kuwaitis are like the Emiratis. Beware of them and always ask for cash up front. I myself have screwed over by an Emirati as well before. Sorry to hear about this. Don't expect too much out of anything to come out of Kuwait as locals laws are designed to protect locals. The local laws are about as biased as can ever be. Hopefully Karma will catch up with him.

Damn.. I don't feel as shitty as I did anymore after many board members lighten me up a bit. I also have no intention putting this matter further than I have need to. His final words are "It's all FedEx fault and he tried to TELL them that I had nothing to do with this" WTF is this supoose to mean? Anybody can tell something I need action buddy not just words!! Hell I tried to tell u that U need to pay for the shipping!! but I guess I am not as lucky as u~ and to ban this guy is totally up to the admins but in my personal opinion guys like this needs to be removed to prevent future attempts.
