M3post (pencilgeek) wins Forum Wars against M5
Forum Wars.
Awesome idea, I do not know how big the time slot is for it but there really should be a best of three for both of the races(1/8 mile and road track) with the figure 8 as end all be all. the DQ thing I know is standard throughout auto cross but they should have a best of three. Maybe someone that knows these cars a little better should be the announcer, and maybe a layover with HP/TQ and driving experience. Or just ask the guys in the interview and have them tell you. Go Pencilgeek btw nice win. a little heavy on the breaks coming into the right turn section of the figure 8's I would love to try this out, but alas I am in Spain with virtually no speed limit and limitless mountain roads to improve on. But I do say again AWESOME idea sub par execution. http://theforumwars.tv/episodes.html#

Congrats PG!
THIS WAS POSTED BEFORE THE TITLE CHANGE: Its got to start somewhere. Hopefully this will get enough watchers to get a second, better one made. With that said, this was one of the most boring things ive ever watched in regards to cars. The camera work was terrible. The editing was not exciting at all. The commentary was bad and at times just lacking. You got someone running a road course, theres plenty to talk about and point out. As a watcher, you cant really tell exactly whats happening (especially with the extraordinary camer work) so some commentary about how the driver is doing would be great. Braked too early, went in too hard, etc... But again, I'm glad they even got it done because it opens the door for a better future production.

Very much agreed, I am glad I am not the only one that thinks this.
I guess this could be a nice building block for a future new and improved version. Maybe I am just spoiled by shows like Top Gear lol

My biggest issue is there really isn't any background on the cars or the drivers. I would like to know what mods the cars have and the track experience of the drivers.
The episode pitting the GT-R against the 996TT raised all kinds of stink on 6speed and NAGTROC because the TT was modded and driven by a guy with a bit of track experience while the GT-R was stock with a less experienced driver. The idea is good, but they definitely need to refine the presentation. Regardless, good win PG. |

if pencilgeek had DCT he would have destroyed the m5 in the drag.
both cars are putting about 500 crank hp, and the m3 should be putting down more torque. the MT vs. SMG launch is just unfair

haha yes, I wished the drivers actually commented on their drive through the road course and bring the audience through 50 seconds of silence...
Quite poorly produced to be honest, but I can't imagine them spending anymore then $100,000 - $150,000 producing this. |

Excellent job Robert! Looks like a bit of a hesitation on the launch, it's not easy, but you only get one shot at it. I thought you did very well.

Yes, great job, Robert. If you had carbon fiber car seat, that would have done it for you. Thanks for representing M3.
