Looks a lot like BMW is trying to compete with the new Saab 9-3x crossover and Audi's new A4 allroad. Site in my signature has lots of info about wagons and all that

Pretty sure thats just a mule for the x3 or x1. Or, maybe, (i hope), the x4 (a mini x6, pleasee.)

It most likely is. There's really no reason to make anything between the E91 and X3.

Exactly. When we only see an E91 body, how the hell do people know whether it's the new "crossover" or the X3 or something else being tested?

I take it the guys saying this is ugly already don't like the 3 series Touring, 'cause that's all you can see here.

It was either Automobile or Motor Trend that had a rendering of a 3-series GT, and that looked rather hot.

The mule above looks very much like a standard Touring hiked up to be an AMC Eagle, which is to say, not very attractive.

Oh, and for the younger crowd who have no idea what an AMC Eagle is:

its only an x3 test mule(or x1 components)
that apart even that 328xiT test mule looks better than the baby momma x3(which Ive never liked at all)
Current x3=useless to towing capacity , ugly design from the start(especially the pre-facelift) with their texturized body cladding, skinny headlights even the old freelander back in the days looked better than that truck. It need a serious overhaul.
