haha, yep, the FF would be awesome!! But, I myself go through many cars, which sounds like you are similar, so I know that just settling for the vehicle that makes sense isn't always the best option. While the 5.0 X5 may be more reasonable, in the end, you have to be happy with it. Better to spend a little more and get what you want than to settle for something you'll regret in 3 months. Just my $.02
Good luck with the decision, at least you have it somewhat narrowed down

Tough decision,

I've got a E93 M3, 335i sedan, and jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Love the Wrangler in terms of fun factor and off-road capability, but it's only rated to tow 2000 pounds, so if you need more capacity, you may have to consider another SUV.

I would choose M3, X5M, and Wrangler.

I'm in a bit of dilemma myself. My lease is up on the my E93 M3 next year, I'm thinking of trading my 335i and returning my M3 vert for EITHER,

1. M5
2. M3 E92 frozen brilliant white
3. Buy out M3 convertible and hang on to the 335i one more year till the new M3 sedan comes out.

We are very blessed to have the ability to make these decisions! Hope that helped!!

Option 2. The more the better! Very versatile fleet. If I had the choice between M3 and X5M vs M5, I'd go with the 2 vehicles for sure.

I think I have a pretty good combo with my M3 and my Cayenne GTS. The Porsche is unstoppable in winter also.

My girlfriend and I live together

I have an 05 M3 ZCP and she has an 11 X5 M and to say its nice to have those two M vehicles in the garage is understatement. Yeah....she didn't need the M but now that she has it...she'd never go back to a regular BMW!

The X5 M is an absolute MONSTER! Every time I drive it still amazes me how fast it is and the way it handles like a sports car. Tons of grip and hides it weight fairly well for being an SUV. Its just badass!

As far as winter goes, she has another set of rims (same size as standard front but for the back too) with the Pirelli snow and ice tires mounted and they've been just fine in the winter here in Maryland.

Anyway, if you want and can afford to keep the M3 and get the X5 M...its a no brainer.

Good luck nonetheless!

Well, I didn't listen to the majority. Had a solid offer on the table for the M3 and worked a good year-end deal on an M5. Monte Carlo Blue M5 is sitting in the garage, will be interesting to see how I feel about it in 6 months. The car is a beast. Pics to follow.
