Here are some comparison shots from an install we just did. Stock vs AIB:

Ill be putting my order in soon for these. They really look impressive and are a great alternative to the HID kits for those that don't want the difficult install.

Very true. Order sooner than later as there are only a few kits left

Just got my AIB today. So I decided to install them.

The first two steps aren't in the DIY portion, it just says to open the cover and remove the bulb with no directions or pictures. It took me awhile to figure out how to remove the cover for the headlights and how to remove the bulb. I didn't want to force it and break something so I was extra careful.

To remove the cover, just push in the two tabs in the front and lift up. Pretty easy, but I was being cautious.

Then I wasn't quite sure which bulb to remove, since in the DIY, it says just to remove the H8 bulb. I wasn't sure which one that was, but I eventually figured it out by looking closer at the pictures.

So I go and put in the first one, the first thing I notice is one of the wires isn't attached to the bulb. The soldering job look a little amateurish. So I open up the other package and install that one. Pretty straight forward install, just like the DIY. Small hands would be a plus. AFter the install, I turn it on. Nothing. Quick fix though. I plugged in the connector (originally connected to the H8 bulb) upside down so I just reversed it.

Sure enough it worked.

Now I'm driving around with only one AIB installed since the other one needs to be fixed. I guess I'll head to home depot and buy a soldering kit. Although I've never done any soldering.

Pros:

-quick shipping
-heat sink looks bulletproof
-angel eyes look great

Cons:

-Kinda pricey, but the machined aluminum pieces are top notch
-Soldering could be better.
-My DIY printout I got was missing a step 6, (the step where you connect the wire from the original H8 bulb) but you wouldn't have known it, unless you read the online DIY first.

If you've never done any soldering, I wouldn't recommend starting on the AiBs.

PM me your full name and I'll send a shipping label so we can get the unit replaced for you.

Thanks Tom,

Too late though, I already did it, with advice from the Lowe's sales associate. It was actually pretty easy, and looks just like the other connections. I just hate having to spend another $20 for a soldering kit I probably would never use again.

Anyways, they look great.

One thing I noticed is that the overall brightness is the same as the stock. But because it's white, versus the stock yellow, it isn't as visible in bright outdoor environments.

While driving around with one side stock, and one side AIB, I can see the stock light alot easier in the reflections off the cars in front of me. I kept thinking the AIB had malfunctioned because I couldn't see it in the reflection. But it was so sunny and bright today, I think any HID that isn't stock would have been washed out also.

If you really believe that DRL improves safety, then stick with stock because it's easier to see during the day. Otherwise, this is a great looking mod.

Any sitting on the side for locals? Hehe

Just got past my 1200mi break in last week and I think its time to buy some toys (AiBs, intake & scoops , spacers - 15/12 setup, jet black reflectors, etc). Planning on coming into your shop sometime in the next few days for the first time. Can't hear enough good things about EAS....keep up the good work. Hope to meet you guys soon.

Think you can shoot me a PM with a price for those I listed above? Thanks.

We had some time today so we made a few short videos:

From these angles you can see a number of things:

-High visibility from extended distance
-High visibility in direct sunlight
-Close up in shade
-Unlock and lock demonstration
-Ignition on/off

Also note that there is no flickering when the ignition is turned on or off, or locked/unlocked

Hit "HQ" to watch the video in high definition

For anyone having trouble on removing the black covers on the light and removing the bulbs, refer to this DIY to take them out! http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186302

PS, the "h8" is the bulb you will need to remove/replace! Great Product from EAS!
