The thing is this should have been set up as a public poll so that once we detemine who is serious about putting money down, we can take out the noise. I voted anyway...

Let's wait to compile a comprehensive list on that before setting up the poll, meaning, let's give people time to produce the options for that poll on the origanal RAC thread, or it might have to be redone.

Let's figure out the size first.

Once we have the size figured out, determine a style, and a price, the serious bidders can pm Shep. If he decides he has enough critical mass, I imagine we go forward from there. Making a poll public or private doesn't tell Shep squat.

You'll have a bunch of guys come over here and vote who are not even thinking about purchasing these wheels let alone an M3.

What's the point of this survey if sizing will be determined by PMing RAC to begin with?

Anyway, whatever I guess...

Will this production be a limited run for whoever jumps on the BG or will there be an opportunity to purchase a set of RAC wheels later too?

STEP 1 FIGURE OUT A POPULAR SIZE WHICH INVOLVES A POLL
STEP 2 DETERMINE A POPULAR DESIGN WHICH WILL INVOLVE AT LEAST ONE MORE POLL
STEP 3 SHEP FIGURES OUT HOW MUCH ITS GONNA COST AND HOW MANY PEOPLE HE NEEDS
TO MAKE IT WORK
STEP 4 SERIOUS PEOPLE IM SHEP
STEP 5 RAC DECIDE WHETHER THE NUMBERS WORK FOR THEM

Was it really that hard to figure out?

Who cares about the popular size which is going to be indicative of the opinions of all sorts of non-potential buyers (from 15 year olds to Audi owners) who don't really represent a market for this product and why should that factor into RAC's pricing decision? We clearly disagree on the purpose of this poll, and that's fine. I gave you my 2 cents worth...

19's for sure. If the concensus style is something I like (even if it is not the one I would have picked first), and the price is in line with what I've read RAC wheels offered for before, I'm in. Everything I've read about RAC has been great and I'd make some sacrifices on the looks if I can have a set of wheels specifically designed for our car that is rare, lightweight, and extremely high quality.

From what I've read on the other RAC thread and other message boards on the internet, IF this happens, it will be a limited run only for those that commit and put a deposit down, and there is no telling when another run will be done, if ever.

They have posted in prior GB's that they will have extra wheels available in case you damage one. This is a great opportunity and the timing is great since I was about to start looking for wheels. Any one of the wheels mentioned in the main thread would be fine (except that nasty Hartge one). I'll take the quality over the looks in this situation.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
