Exhaust with minimal drone?
My previous car was a Camaro that was LOUD. Everywhere I went (daily driver) I would here a humming drone sound that would honestly give my passengers tooth aches because it was so loud. After having to deal with that, im loving how quiet the BMW is on the inside. The thing is, I bought an e93 and while I actually really like the current exhaust, it could be louder.
Are there any exhausts for the BMW that cause zero drone, or atleast minimal cabin noise? I am in love with the exhaust in this video, I think its gintanti full race exhaust, but I have a feeling it makes the cabin pretty droney and loud |

I have the gintani sport and it's a perfect amount of sound with almost no drone. The issue with it is, if your sensitive to drone, if you pair it with an x pipe or something it might be passed its limit which is the dilemma I'm in

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I'd recommend the M Performance if you're OK with the cost. I like the Corsa and Eisenmann Sport also. The OEM exhaust mods are popular also although I've heard that the ACM mod drones a bit. I chose the M Perf because it just doesn't drone at all, has its own unique aggressive sound, looks awesome and is OEM...gotta love the laser etched ///M! I removed the inner tip black paint and painted the cans, just personal preference.
If you want a race exhaust, be willing to tolerate some drone. They tend to drone like a mofo starting out in first gear and under load. Here's a pic of my M Perf, my buddy is wearing my old AA exhaust. |

I've been reading a thread about which exhausts sound the most exotic, and holy crap I love the Kreisseig. Anyone know if it has any drone? The price is sort of insane, but it sounds sooooooo goood.
I wish an exhaust existed that I could turn on or off. I'd love to have it silent in the cabin when I wanted it, and extremely loud when I wanted it. The kreisseig has a remote that adjusts. Any others with something like that? EDIT: nevermind. it's 8,000 dollars not 6,000. That's just too much Last edited by Invadermoose; 06-25-2012 at 11:35 PM.. |

Oem perforated pipe replacement has NO drone and sounds Outstanding! Start there and if it's not loud enough, then go aftermarket.

Akra has no drone. AA has very little drone at 2k. Only hear it if the music is completely off. Oem exhaust mod has no drone what so ever. Never been in a M performance exhaust car.
