ESS - product discussion / request

Hi,

I'd like to discuss about a product between ESS Stage I and ESS Stage II.

For regular inspections / emission tests I'd request for Stage I, intercooled, boosting 3-4PSI relative. Heat is enemy #1 in FI applications, so I'll go intercooled. This should provide around 500bhp and 520nm crank and would be very reliable. Nice performance bump for my daily commuter . If such a configuration would be possible, what would be the list price for such a product ( US$ 10 - 11k would be ideal pricing from my point of view ) ? Background for my discussion / request is that I would like to get the best SC kit available for my M3, street legal where I live. I'm limited to +20% power above stock to keep the car street-legal and have to keep the OEM catalysts.

G-Power provides such a product, their Stage I, it's in the US$ 12 -13k price range. And they drill a hole into your engine ( SC oil support ), which I absolutely want to avoid.

ESS supercharged BMWs for years, if not decades. IMO they have best experience in this technology.

The ESS M3 power / torque curves look simply impressive.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Eugen

I doubt they would put your car on a dyno to verify.

You can order the stage 2 kit and request a 500 hp configuration if you want. If you have questions feel free to PM or email me

Are any of the options you're mentioning above watercooled opposed to the intercooled option? I must say the FI route is intriguing the shit out of me ....

And don't do the rubber band balls thing :\. Don't you all want kids someday?

The G-Power kits taps into the rocker cover only. Not expensive to replace. I'm sure if you insisted, the dealer would throw a brand new one in as part of the package.

He lives in switzerland

A country that hates the car beyond belief. All forms of motorsport are now totally banned in switzerland. No track days, no Formula 1, No rallying etc..

All ILLEGAL.

they also have all sorts of strange laws about certain road being off limits after 10pm, your not allowed to wash your car on a sunday,

They even proposed to ban any car that emits more than 250g/km of CO2

http://green.autoblog.com/2008/08/05...-car-laws-any/

Switzerland really hates the car !

the only way a supercharger wont pass emissions is if your running catless or your race cats are causing a CEL....but minus the 130 (which was one hit wonder if you know what im talking about, which doesnt have anything to do with gintani) gintani's supercharger is very good

Actually, it's a little more complicated than that...

You will automatically fail a VISUAL emissions check in states like California as soon as the inspector opens your hood. Unless the supercharger system on your car is C.A.R.B. certified, you will fail inspection right there...
