Yes. With windows required to be down there is no other way to hear. Two weeks away, and still waiting on my confirmation Looks like we are up to about 24 BMW's signed up An army to take on the Vette's!

Oh man...getting pretty pumped up for this!

There's a lot of greenies, are they going to have enough instructors? Which is odd because the blue group in The Driver's Edge always fills up before the green.

Yes.

Here is the form, you may have to log back into to get it, but it's under the files tab when you are looking at your registration status.

For those in Austin, Soul Speed is a good place to get techs done.

Got my confirmation e-mail today, so it looks like I'm a go! Matthew's Auto did mine in the past, but they are out of business now Any good mechanic can complete the review.

Personally, I'd go with someone who can setup/align a car for the track. IMO, getting a good alignment makes a huge difference.

While I agree that a good alignment is important for proper handling and tire wear, the tech inspection is just a check to make sure your car is in sound shape to participate in the event (tires with tread, no play in suspension, brakes in good condition, etc.). Reads more like a document from their lawyer or insurance company as the primary focus, and then as a checklist for safety consideration before the event. I need to do another brake fluid flush this weekend in preparation.

True but always a good idea to check the alignment. I think this is not only a performance check but a safety check as well. If things are off, it could make the car inconsistent and harder to control.

You'll love it! The track is so big, fast, and scary.

Nothing beats flying down the banked front straight. Although its not the fastest line, I like to be on the outside lane close to the wall..I feel like a NASCAR racer!
