Ah I was thinking about heading to Baytown too...

#1- never drag raced before, I'd be taking the 1m, anything I should consider before bringing it out there?
#2- you think it might be a stretch to go to Baytown and cars and coffee? What time do things get wrapped up out at the drag strip?
#3- can you pick who you race against? How many times do you race in a night?

were u guys there in november? I pulled up and managed to miraculously score a spot close to a Black e92 m3 and an E60 M5 but a stupid old green farm truck parked between us

1. Nah, there isn't much too it.....just bring a helmet and some painters tape for the rear lower 1/4 panel.

2. It won't be a stretch, it'll be more of a dirty car with no time to clean it up for Coffee and Cars

3. You can try to, but it depends on how the lanes are being worked. As far as the number of runs, that depends on how crowded the track is. The later and cooler the weather, the more gearheads out running. Early is good.....Phil

Well my car is set up for both

......but it will be difficult to clean the car up in time for Coffee and Cars. The Baytown thread isn't getting much action so I'll have to make a choice in the next day or so. Maybe we can hit Baytown the following Friday. Everyone seems to be in for Coffee and Cars.........Phil

We may have to meet up earlier if we want to carve out a spot for all of us. I'm thinking 6:30 - 6:45. Last month, most of the spots were taken by 7:15.
