I've seen the car at the dealer's a couple of weeks back. For its sheer physical size, I was surprised it wasn't roomier than the M3. It's rear seats are about as useful as the 911's.

As Edmunds put it... "...only for occasional use by children and lap dogs"

i think he was joking ( 6 people?) . but adults fit too - if the have no legs!

from Car and Driver on the GTR:

Lows: Large, heavy, a strait-laced interior, microscopic back seats.

Sure it's great for the dealers, but what is in it for Nissan? Do they think buzz about the GT-R will raise the image of the rest of their cars? Since they already have a premium brand line, what's the point?

Somebody fill in the blanks...

gotta keep the legend alive. growing up in the play station generation id cry if the gtr ever became as common as a z or g. They're like mythical unicorns only seen once every 26 moons.

and just because the company sells and markets to the majority ( middle/low class ) doesn't mean every one of its car's has to be aimed towards those demographics. Nissan has the average joes that want a decent comfortable car covered with their normal line up of trucks and such, has the average joes that want performance covered with z/g, has the luxury seeking mid/upper class covered with their infiniti line, now i guess its trying to get a piece of those mid/upper class people that look for performance. Maybe this is why people argued that the gtr should've been handed over to infiniti. Definitly too expensive for a nissan but i wouldn't have it any other way.

key word - "trying". they "tried" to sell the M3's for 10k over. didnt work at all. GTR may have better luck since less are built. but 50k over? I doubt it.

Its funny they list the GTR at $70k......unless you OWN the Nissan stealership....there is NO way you will touch one for that price....$85k minimum..... You can get M3's at MSRP easy and possibly discounted......Vette Z06's are $8400 off MSRP at the top Vette dealers.... Both local stealers I talked to about the GTR wanted $85-90k for theirs.....
