Installed Eisemann sport exhaust today!

So today I installed my Eisemann sport cat-back exhaust and to be honest I was expecting it to be a lot louder. It is a little louder then stock but when I get on it it's not that much louder. Has anyone had this exhaust? And what did you think? This is my wife's car so I didn't want to go with the race version. Also I bought this from a guy that had it for about 15,000 miles previously.

sounds about right. The sport isn't suppose to be crazy loud. if you want it a little louder you could always look into various xpipe options.

either way the eisn sport is a great exhaust.

Sounds about right. I never got who people went for the Sport when the Race sounds so awesome.

I think the Sport was perfect for my E93. With the top down, it was just enough additional sound to be fun, but not enough to be overwhelming. With the Race, I'm sure it would be. That said, for an E90 or E92, I think the Sport might not be enough volume change, especially when you are hammering it, because the induction noise drowns out the exhaust over 4500 rpm or so. I have Eisenmann Sport on my E90 M3 and love it, however I do have the Challenge Sport x-pipe (HFC) with it and personally think its one of the best combos out there.

Since you are local you should stop by and I can let you hear it.

These weak exhausts are not worth their price tags IMHO, whats the point. But then the race exhausts can be loud, very loud. For now I'm back to stock.

+1. I have an E93, always drive with the top down, and love the Sport. It's just perfect, and to me, it's a good bit louder than stock. With that being said, I agree it would probably be too quiet for an E90 or E92.

Defiantly going to have to hear that set up, thanks.

When you are accelerating, I think it is the intake sound that gives a bigger thrill. It's when you let off the gas that the exhaust comes into play more. That's when the rumble and burbles really make the sound of the car.

like others have said, start messing with the x pipe to get a little more volume. In my experiences, I have always found "sport" level exhausts paired with modded x-pipes to be the perfect recipe for increased sound without being obnoxious.

It has been 60 degrees + in Philly all weekend. Have had some opportunities to finally roll the windows down a little and hear since my Eisenmann Race was installed in the Fall. It's perfect! "End of discussion"- 2 Chains. Can't wait to hear in early Summer with both windows and roof open.

Unfortunately you may have been happier camper if you had researched. Eissenman themselves and independant advertise this as no louder than stock in decibals but rather changes the tone to a deeper tone. There are some measured values and advertised values by eisennman that notes this which to me really makes the sport pointless.

Sounds like you needed the race to meet expectations

I'm zeroing in on this setup too. How do you like it?

I'm thinking of getting the x-pipe soon and hopefully will pick up the Eiseneman Sport not long after. I understand the x-pipe with the stock exhaust is a little raspy, something I have an aversion to.

I have the Sport and it is great sound! Really nice deep sound that is a bit louder than stock but still civil and not a full race sound. Nice Especially if you are looking for something still somewhat mild and not trying to piss off all the neighbors.

Toss in the X-Pipe and high flow cats and it really comes alive!

The eisenmann race sounds tuff. Akrapovic and eisenmann sport are too hipster for me.

I love the Eisenmann Race! But I've also seen some threads with video of Eisenmann Sport with x-pipe, and some of them sound pretty awesome. Search around this subform. You may find an option to take it further, rather than changing out what you have altogether.
