Alright so let me rephrase, obviously we all have different opinions about each car. My main topic was reliability. Which car for the long run is a stronger car.

I know the issues that the s65 motor has and I am willing to get them all resolved. But as for the s55 I am not really aware of any issues. Of course it's still new so it may be to soon to tell but regardless that's why I started this thread.

The F8X may have all this new technology and may be better looking in some ways but I still like the simple look of the E9X's and the v8.

With that being said let's leave aesthetics part out. My question is the car itself (motor, transmission, etc)

Have you considered an E90 or E92? It will give you the feeling of owning a new/different car. I much prefer to be in my E92 over my E93 for most occasions. Although I do enjoy it as the sun is going down and we pile in and head to the beach. But for when the top is up are the moments when I wish I was sitting in the E92. Although I don't know much about your E93 I can tell you that it's going to be a hard sell for any decent amount of money but there are some really good deals on the E92's right here in the forums and online websites so your out of pocket shouldn't be too bad if that even matters to you right now.

Cross shopping a 30k car with no warranty and 80k car with 3 year warranty , means you should have no issue affording when the 30k car breaks down.

Also age and how the car is used plays a big role. I recommend golf gti or golf r at the most for anyone under 25

Turbochargers add heat and complexity to the reliability question, so it is too soon to say how expensive the new BMWs will be to maintain in 10 or 15 years. While this is not an issue for buyers who trade for a new car every 3 to 5 years, it is for the enthusiast who buys cars to keep and drive hard long term.

Yea I think I heard about you crossing over. It was on a segment of Top Gear that they did a whole profile on you. It's actually pretty funny that your thread comes up in other threads mentioning the incorrect fact that you didn't want to maintain it. We know that is the furthest thing from the truth.

And what is stunning is that RoastBeef has gotten 44 appreciates for his funny one liner, Wow!

Hey Helmsman
I was happy with it until something else crossed my path and let the M4 felt like an S-class. lol
But to answer your question: I will definately get back to an M3 E9x. Really miss it.

- Why not a 2015 Audi RS5 Droptop with the V8. Drove one yesterday and loved it. Now you can get one for $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 in which is a really good price for what you get.
It isn't an M3 in terms of performace but it is a great package to DD in. Only thing to look out on those cars are the brakes and the Fuel Pump. The V8 sounds great as well and much better than the M3/M4 F8X. I'd say drive one or put a 650 Kit on the E93 and call it a day.

Audi always reminds me of this vid...

That being said, 2012 RS5 looks sexiest IMO.

i'd wait for the next gen M4 convert, which will come in 2~3yrs time.
Although it will be similar to F83, it will be lighter, newer tech, more power, better in every angle than the F83.
Just look at the "new" M models, they are pretty much the same car but just gotten better , for example the F90 M5...we still remember the E60's beautiful NA motor, but no one will remember anything about the F10 M5 because F90 M5 is basically the same car same motor, but just updated and upgraded in everything

Don’t bother with the f8x. Supercharge an e9x and keep the sound, steering feel, better sounding rev matches, and loads more HP that you can actually put the power down with. Wish I saved money 3 years ago and never got the f8x. But you know the saying, something about the color of the grass and someone’s fence or something.

You’d be hard pressed to find a manual in a modern high performance Audi.

Running on your feet like the flint stones > DCT > 6MT > CVT

There I just ended it
