2008 BMW M3 Coupe

Hi everyone,

Going to keep it short and sweet;

Had a 2009 Audi A5 on order but canceled it due to the amazing deals on the M3s right now.

My budget is 50k flat before taxes and what not-

Could I find a 2008 M3 coupe for that price? I'm paying cash, if it helps.

50K means you add the 7500 trunk money and another 5-6K
so look for one that had an MSRP of 62,500-63,500
which normally means no tech pkg or nav
mine was 62,290 with premium, cold weather, sat, and ipod/usb

by the way i owned an A5 for 6 months prior to the M3
only thing i miss about it was the remote trunk opening
on the m3 you have trunk unlock
not opening
other than that
it don't miss anything else

I'm fine with that spec, the problem is finding it. I feel as if these M3s are rare? I called my dealership and they said there are only two left in the country, one for 67k and one for 69k.

The A5 is a great car, just... not worth the money right now, if they offered better deal's i would love it. Audi is just very stubborn, very, and cocky, they barely gave me 2k off msrp.

long time ago, when i was in early 20s, i was shopping for a luxury sedan. it came down to lexus is300 and audi a4. audi didn't even give me a test drive, so it's obvious which one i bought. but dayam.. lexus was way too boring. sold it in a year and bought a s2000..

Cash is king. Stick to your guns. You might be able to swing a $20,000 discount on a new one.

Why would you throw 50k cash into a depreciating asset? With interest rates at record lows, I would finance at least 75% and invest the rest. Shoot you can get something as basic as 4-5% return from some savings accounts.

^ smartest hing i have read all day. just because you can use cash doesn't mean you should. The cars are sitting at dealerships, you are not competing with anyone!

Call on this car on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...3A1|240%3A1318

This dealer is aware of my $49,900 purchase price on the EXACT same car because I called them right after the dealer in GA sold their car out from under me. It's been on eBay for quite a while. They know that other dealers are selling these cars for BIG discounts, so they just might take your offer.

FYI, I do agree that you should still finance some of the car. I got 3.99% financing through www.penfed.org.

Talked to them already. They are sticking to their guns at $54,900 (with me at least). I told them "no thanks."

Wow, that's idiotic. They never called me back when they were trying to verify that the $7500 rebate was real. LOL
