I have also heard the Eisenmann Sport system. The Akrapovic is pretty quiet too.

It would be extremely tough for me to even consider an aftermarket exhaust if I'm deciding to stay quiet. I don't get it.

I have the Eisenmann Sport and I don't find it that quiet. My neighbors know when I pull up. Yes, it definitely not as loud as the Eisenmann Race, but if your car is a daily driver, I think the Sport is perfect. It still sings when you need it to.

Noisier than stock inside all the time, I presume, but does it drone? And if so, what's the rpm range? Thx.

Oh, ok. I guess I just like that exhaust note that makes people JUMP!

It barely drones. A slight bit at 2K, but the stock did also. The stock is quiet until you really get on the throttle. With the Eisenmann Sport, the low rpms are a very nice low growl and that get louder as you get more on the throttle. With the Eisenmanns, there is no difference in the sound between race and sport. I own the Sport and have heard the Race a lot. They sound identical except for volume. The Race does drone a bit more also, but with any exhaust, the louder you get the more drone you will get.

I like this too, if I don't drive the car everyday. A loud exhaust is great when you are in the mood and want to tear it up. Problem is, there is no way to turn down an exhaust unless you buy something like the Kreisseig. It took me a lot of time to decide between the Race and Sport, but I am 100% happy I went with the Sport. My friend on this board has the race and it sounds amazing, just a bit too loud for a daily driver. He happens to really only drive his car on the weekends so it is perfect.

Another thing, if you have never had an exhaust on a car before, the Sport is perfect. If you go louder, you may end up regretting it later. Also, make sure you take into account whether you will be doing x-pipes or cat deletes later. All of this makes an exhaust louder. Some on this board have gone Eisenmann Race, liked it and then did an X-Pipe and complained it was too loud and ended up switching to a Eisenmann Sport to quiet things down. In the end, it is personal preference. I did the NYC midnight run this past Saturday and there was an M6 with us running an Einsenmann Race with straight Pipes. It was AMAZING sounding, but also EXTREMELY loud. In the Lincoln tunnel, it made peoples ears RING!!!!!!

^ Agreed.

Eisenmann Sport is a great place to start if you want a quiet system that has a nice roar to it.

If you ever want it louder later on then you can always install an x-pipe.

I think our V8 sounds the heck of a lot better than the V10. I don't like raspy, whiny engines, including Ferraris, but that's just me.

You have a point. The stock system is the quietest!

Milltek has a system out for the E92. They have always been known to make quiet exhaust systems.

It looks a lot like the original Bastuck design. It probably sticks down quite a bit, or at least as much as stock.

I find Miltek systems to be "boomy" actually.
