A valid point. I'll make sure all the bases are covered. Thanks for the heads up. However I doubt I'll ever use it since the dealer is a couple hundred miles away. To justify the travel it would have to be a big problem.

For those who were asking the car was in Mississippi, and I found it listed in the autotrader. At first I thought it was a mistake but I called about it anyway. After a couple sleepless nights last week I finally just decided to pull the trigger.

Looks like it might be tomorrow before I can get it. Last minute meeting got scheduled for after lunch today. I'm just hoping I can get it home without needing an outboard motor with all the rain we have had.

Congrats on your new purchase and don't forget that once you have it:

Ouch! and to the OP: Congrats mate!

Got her home last night. The car is amazing. It will take me a little while to become comfortable with idrive, I'm sure I was weaving down the highway yesterday while playing with it.

I'll get some pics up as soon as I can but it'll be a little while since I'm going out of town today for a wedding.

Boosted Josh, congratulations! Nice find and great deal! Sweet! Just wait till you're through the break-in period, then the fun really begins. Any mods planned?

NoM3ForMe, I really feel bad for you man. I don't think that was funny at all, especially if you've wanted one for 11 years. Maybe you should get her back by getting yourself a 1/1 scale model for your birthday. A new or used E9x or used E46 M3 would be a nice gift!

Feel like I got a pretty good deal, not the best deal I've seen on the board but good none the less. $15,360 off of sticker, + floor mats, key chain, and an additional year and 10K miles of "good faith" warranty through the selling dealer in writing. The only downside is the car was punched a little over a year ago so I'm losing out on that end but for used car money I'm getting a "new" car with 150 miles.

She's Melbourne Red with beige extended leather, premium package, Tech package, 19's, moonroof, Satellite and HD radio, enhanced premium sound. Pretty well fully loaded, no heated seats but my Wife would be the only one to use that feature. I would have rather had the CF roof and no moonroof but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm excited. It's my early 30th birthday present to myself.

Obviously, it was $15K off the original sticker of $69K, which was the launch MSRP for a '08 E92, similarly-equipped.

OP, congrats on your deal and new car--good decision! You might have squeezed a little more out (doubtful), or you might have been left empty-handed.

Thanks everyone! No mods planned at the moment. Maybe a catback down the road.

I've been out of town since thursday and haven't been able to drive it at all since bringing it home. I can't wait to get some miles on it and get that break in service completed.

I paid for 1/2 and financed the other half through my local credit union at 4%.

The 0.9% through BMW only applies on 09's.
