Anyone know a think or 2 about freight shipping ?

Where's the best way to get a *freight quote*. Direct or through a freight forwarder, etc. Just need to ship a heavy item across the coasts...Ship alot with UPS, FedEx, etc but never freight. Called FedEx freight already. They have a 150lb minimum which my items does not meet.
