pic request rear trunk E93 with top down
Does anyone have a picture of the rear trunk interior with the top down?
I need it to show how little space there is. I had an E93 M3 but forgot to take a picture. Thanks |

Honestly, I'd like to know how much you can fit in there. I mean can you fit luggage for two for a week's vacation?

Sorry I don't have a picture, but there is no way to fit really any sizable luggage in the trunk with the top down.. When I owned an E93 I just folded the rear seat down and placed any bags on top of the (folded down) rear seat.

The only things that fit in my E93 with the top down are my dry cleaning and a liter of milk.

For the second bag fold the rear shelf as mentioned and stack it up, since the top is down so visibility shudnt be a problem |

I would have preferred a soft top myself. The weight saving and the extra trunk space would have been pluses, especially since I don't usually drive my sport cars in the winter so a hard top doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

That picture doesn't show the true volume very well, IMHO. There is a decent amount of space under the folded top assembly due to the fact that it slopes downward. I really have no complaints about the space of the trunk. Would a bigger trunk be nice? Sure, but I've never had problems fitting what I need to fit into the trunk, including a bunch of groceries or taking back $20 in beer bottles or kids stroller and toys and stuff.

A couple of years ago during an ED trip to pickup the '07 335i E93, I was able to stow 4 large duffel bags in the trunk with the shelf down so the hardtop could be lowered; maybe 2 roller boards might fit. 4 adults made the trip with 10 day's worth of clothing/etc and everything fit OK in the trunk

@ AZ
could you show me a pic of the size of the bags you are mentioning. I'm most probably going to buy a new m3 this year but i'm still debating between the coupe and the convertible, and the trunk space is my main concern. thanks |

You can fit two of the largest-allowed-by-Southwest carry-on roller suitcases, plus a couple small backpacks and a camera bag. All in the trunk, with the plastic shield locked down, and the wind in your hair. That's why it's my go-to-the-beach car.

Here you go. All 4 bags were about this size (12"x12"x25"), plus camera bags, etc:
