1st impressions of UUC Corsa installed!!!!

Well I got my UUC Corsa exhaust installed yesterday on my E92.....I took several photos with my Iphone, but I'm having issues getting it emailed out so I can post them...

Anyway the muffler shop that installed it was very impressed at the ease or installation due to the excellent design...it only took minor effort to get it to line up perfectly in the bumper.....

We did fire up the car when the stock muffler was removed and only the resonators were left.....to say it sounded AWESOME is a huge understatement.... throaty and mean, but too loud for a daily driver....

So the Corsa was installed....1st impressions are you can see the sweet rear diff cooling vanes better now since the muffler is not blocking the center....the sound at idle and low rpms is slightly louder, but by no means annoying or intrusive.....there is a slight booming at 1500rpm in 7th gear when putting around town, but I like it...it sounds mean!!

At WOT from just about any RPM it sounds really good.....as the RPM's climb it just gets better......unforunately I haven't had the opportunity to really stretch it out yet....

Dyno info is coming Tuesday....I won't have the before and after dyno runs, I just couldn't wait to install it.....so I will have an after run to compare against some other known runs.....

Did you have any "in the seat" pick-up? I really like that set-up and it seems to be a more complete kit for the $$ than some of the other "systems". Definitely interested in your #'s to see how it looks...too bad you were in a hurry before you could basline the car, but I understand! ;-)

I'm sure it sounds great.... but after seeing several installed pics of this exhaust lately, I'm definitely not feeling the look from behind. The offset-looking canisters look strange and unsually large and low-hanging, and in some ways even worse looking than stock. If were to go with this system, I'd definitely paint the back-facing end of the canisters, but even then I'm not certain if that would be enough.

Probably performs/sounds great, but it is kinda of an "eye sore" from behind. The design should've had the tips come out the bottom part of the muffler, instead of the middle part so that the overall muffler would sit higher and not stick out so much in the bottom.

After a 150 mile drive today....it is slightly louder on the freeway, but by no means annoying.....

AND it is about 10lbs lighter than the stock setup, or at least thats what the corner balancing scales said today.....

I should have Dyno #'s tuesday

Well the dyno DID NOT go well...either the dyno got weird or the car freaked out since the front tires were not turning....the nav screen had all kinds of warnings...ABS, front passenger restraint (WTF).... The best run we got was 300whp at 5750rpm....but nothing good......

You need to paint those canisters black asap...IMO that looks worse than stock.

one other thing I noticed is when you are driving slowly in town, now you can hear the DCT blip the throttle as it downshifts even at low speeds...I never noticed before?

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you be in 7th gear around town?

Is this bolt-on or did you have to hack the stock muffler off?

Looks like two mufflers that weren't even meant for you car were just stuck on. Hideous.

woah dude...

I am sure the system sounds pretty rad but unfortunately the system look a lil in your face. Perhaps you should consider spraying them black and fitting a CF Rea carbon diffuser to dampen the "in your face" look.

No offense intended... just sharing with you and opinion. I am waiting to fit my E92 M3 with the Vorsteiner Titanium exhaust system and Vorsteiner CF Rear Diffuser when i return from my business trip.

Most of all mate... enjoy your car

WOW.....such strong opinions.....mostly about the appearance of the mufflers.....the mufflers are stainless steel....so of course they are shiney.....but so was the stock muffler...... I like the look as is....one added benefit is now you can see the trick casting of the rear diffferential that you couldn't see before....

The sound is much better.....with the windows down it just sounds GREAT.....with the windows up its not much louder than stock......about the only place I can really hear the difference is on the freeway....its not a drone or annoying, you just can hear the engine now vs almost totally quiet before...
