Carbon items....have a question...

I see that many of these are installed with 3m tape. Anyone have issues with car washes pulling them off?

Did a search, didnt see any topics on it. Thanks for any advice.

I would guess most guys don't take their cars through drive through car washes, alot of the spoilers are on with Betalink, which a hurricane wouldn't be able to tear off lol

I was thinking of the higher end washes where the car is taken from you, they clean inside and out. Have a monthly pass. Is so nice. I take my cars to one like this and haven't had a problem, including my c4 cab. Was a little worried about the top, but is fine. I've never had items like these on my rigs So I'm a little out of my element.

Not really, since it's tape + a bunch of screws that hold the CF Lip, Spolier, Diffuser in place. It's not that easy to take off. If you're worried, use betalink, but don't expect to be pulling off that piece ever again It's that strong.

In my experience, as long as the right double sided tape is used, you won't need to worry about the part coming off during a car wash. Hope this helps!

Oh I see, in that I am very sure the detailers would be careful with it. Alot of factory trim in diffrent cars is attached with 3M tape, it's a great product and can withstand lots of elemental abuse. You should be good to go
