noise. Please help to diagnose

It happens the most when the engine ends it's cold start and goes into normal operation. It then goes away

to me that just sounds like a resonance rattle, something is most like fowling the underside of the intake I'm guessing as you can hear it speed up etc.

I have a similar sound for a couple of months, but i only hear it when i lift of the gas and the car shifts from 1-2 gear and 2-3 gear, it disaperes completely when the motor is varm, my guess is thatit has something to do with the vanos system, cold oil= not oilpressure enough for the system

Check the bolts holding the SC to the bracket. Also, check the the three bolts holding the bracket to the engine. If the bracket and or SC were loose then that might create a noise like in the video. You may also want to check the pulleys and make sure they are not loose. Next, check the pulley on the SC itself. Finally, its possible it could be the SC itself.

Have you done any maintenance or mods lately? It sounds like a loose heat shield or something.

Good idea to check the tightness of those bolts. I am almost certain it wasnt the sc. Now i got stethoscope and probably can say for sure, if the darn sound returns...

No, nothing on the engine lately. Unless new wheels and tires count. Pretty happy with the current power setup

Other simple possibility is the clearance between your SC and the wheel well is very tight and is rubbing every once in a while. Look behind the SC where it gets close to the metal wheel well. I probably only have 1/8" clearance on mine. If you are rubbing in that area, it should be visible.

Assuming its related to the drive belt accessories, try removing accessory belts and idling to isolate the noise, replacing belts one at a time.

Just looking to eliminate variables at the moment.

Yes, but I need the sound to come back to follow everyones suggestions.

Roman's troubleshooting recommendation was unhooking a small hose that connects to the bypass valve to see if the noise goes away at idle.

I had exactly the same noise on my brand new SC ESS-550 kit with only 100 miles on it. I didnt record that sound, but yours sound the same. I am going to my installer on wednesday and will let him listen to your video and report back with his findings. It only hapened once, i am keeping an eye on it, but it seems to be fine now.

I looked at mine and that space is very tight. Maybe metal to metal contact causes this noise

Sometimes if the vacuum going to the bypass is interupted it can cause the valve to rattle which resonates thru the manifold area when at idle or coming off boost. Hard to tell from the video but considering that it is random as you said it could be a metal vibration from this or contact somewhere in the engine bay.
