Holy crap, that's a really good deal.
And for God's sake, M's don't have run flats. How scary is this that people don't know what they have and don't have on their car.

I know right! That's one of the very first things I do is check the tires and see what type they are. M's do not come with RFT tires. Even my sales guy did not have his shit together and told me they were RFT tires. I had to correct him. If you are selling BMW cars and especially M's, the facts need to be straight. I knew more about the M and the 335is than the sales guy. My god, where is Anterio that sold me my 335. The best sales guy ever, period. There is no one better than him.

I even keep a can of that Goo along with tire plugs, in the trunk of my 135i, which definitely has Run-Flats. Yes, you are technically not supposed to plug or put Goo in Run-Flats, but in talking with a few service managers, the said you can do it if you are hundreds of miles from anywhere, just to get you out of the situation.

Maybe the discount off MSRP is a "Run Flat Package" credit. Congratulations on the car - enjoy it!

What this forum is - basically - is the single most thorough, accurate and up to date database on E9x M3 information anywhere on the planet. If you were to ask God himself an M3 question, he would refer you to this forum. This forum has more (public) info (and more accurate too) than BMW themselves. And probably no single person in the world - including the guys that helped engineer the M3 itself - has more M information than is on this forum. The only thing is, the forum is only as good as the contributions. So do your best to make sure what you post is accurate. That way it remains the best resource on the web for M3 information and facts. Thanks, and have fun in your car. |

CONFIRMED BY ME FROM TODAY
THEY ARE NOT RUN FLATS! WOOP PIEEE. It took 38 posts to confirm it to some people. Holy! Turns out a freaking half piece of crap cutting blade (not even like a 1/4 of a cutting blade) got punctured into the damn tire. I used the air compressor along w/ the bmw IMS (the tire sealant) I need to go buy another one, maybe online its cheaper.. but anyways I used the IMS along w/ the air compressor, tpms light turned off, was able to drive the car to my guy at chatsworth tirepros and it was a simple patch. Very tiny hole. What a hectic 24 hours of ownership.. hopefully my M experience will be great! |

Any tire can be a run flat. You just won't run very long. Oh BTW - M3's do not come with RFTs in case anyone was still wondering.

+1 That's the difference between Americans and the Europeans. Most Americans get cars and never know anything about them or let alone ever actually look at the MANUAL that it came with. Europeans on the other hand usually tend to read the thing cover to cover. I have the Manual in the car and one on the computer that I read page after page while I was anticipating my cars arrival.
