Did this today. It's not difficult. Just tedious if you want it to come out right. Learned a couple of things as well.
If you're using the DMC thread I suggest pulling some of the thread plies out. It's a six or seven ply braid which I think is too thick. I did double since its cotton. If you can find nylon thread in the right colors it's probably better and you can get away with a single strand to match the steering wheel. Spent $3 total for thread and needles. |

standard double knot at the entry. I left about 2 inches of thread hanging at the end of this knot. After I finished going in/out, I doubled back on the inside of the boot (zig zag the thread through the stitch, not the leather) and tied off at the entry point that I left two inches at. Dab of adhesive on the entry holes.
