Question Drivers with Meisterschaft: is the M3 your DD/ what do you do for a living?

The reason I am asking is that I am planning on using the M as my daily driver, but am worried about the sound level. I will soon be working in a position where it is likely that I will often have clients in the car/ will have clients following me, so I dont want anything too loud or off-putting.

So what do you meisterschaft guys do? Do you ever have clients in the car? My ideal solution would be the KKS-Perf. exhaust with butterfly valves, but the Meister is just so sexy sounding.

I have the Meisterschaft GT. I don't think it is TOO loud although it is loud. This is coming from someone who never had anything but a stock exhaust on all his cars...

I think you should be ok but if you are really worried, I think Meisterschaft has a quieter version as well.

Good luck!

We've never had a complaint about volume. Just keep your stock midsection.

I would stick with a different exhaust (such as a remus race or eisenmann race) but you should be fine if you stick with a meisterschaft

Thanks for all the replies. Two more questions, however.

1) what are the size of the tips?
2) are there any proven gains with the system?

Do you mean the Sport versions of Eisie and Remus? I would think the race versions are louder than then the Meisterschaft.

If you worry about noise, look out for remus sport and eisenman sport. Also there are many other brands carrying muffler section for about the same price range $1200 - $1800 (eisenman being a little bit on the high side)

You can then safe up and get mid section or HCF pipes if you think the sound is too soft. In this way, you get performance gains and you get to hear the sound change step by step.

I had the same experience with Remus Race, installed and it though it sounded great. First five days and I thought it was a tad too loud for daily driving but I stuck to it. Now, I think it sounds good - as a matter of fact I might be ready for some mid pipes to add some sound and performance.

Good luck.

Meisterschaft is a little bit louder than Remus Race (higher pitched) - heard it in person. I have remus race and my friend has the Meister.

Actually, I do mean the race I've heard the Meisterschaft is very loud and drones quite a bit! Eisenmann Race is the perfect blend of a 'race' exhaust while it also maintains a livable 'drone' level

I have the full meisterchaft GT setup, the m3 is my daily driver, i work in IT for a living. The exhaust is super loud, however, the cabin of the m3 seals out sound well however so i cannot tell how loud it is. I was at the long beach grand prix and some cars went by it was the warm up lap, and my friends looked at me and said that is how your car sounds to everyone else, i laughed, but he was actually serious. The meisterchaft with just the SR pipe is perfect for daily driver as long as you get the GT muffler not the GT2, the GT does not drone at all

I have the Meisterschaft GT2 with SR pipe. It is loud as fuck. Not just on the outside, but also inside the cabin. I would not recommend this exhaust if the M3 is your DD. Since I only drive this car on the weekends, it's perfect for me.

If you are taking clients in your car, LOL, I could only imagine their face if you pull up with the GT2.

Do you remember/know the size of your tips? I believe they are over 80mm but I'm not sure.

If you want a louder than stock system with a deep throaty tone but still within levels that would be tolerable to others in your vehicle, I highly recommend the Eisenmann Sport. We have the Eisenmann Sport on our project car and absolutely love the sound!

Check out these vids...

Why are you peddling Eisenmann in a Meisterschaft exhaust thread?

Just offering an alternative, he was looking for something that isn't so loud. Nothing wrong with options.
