potholes

New to the M3, but my past couple rides have been 997 Carrera S's and the potholes here are awful. I have bent 5 ! 911 19" wheels in the past 7 years. The dealer price is $1600 for a rear and $1300 for a front. OUCH! Have found the past couple on Ebay for around $500. I imagine the M3 will suffer the same fate if driven daily.

I think anyone that has lived in Montreal or has driven here (actually Quebec in general) will tell you that our roads are insanely crap... I have mentally mapped out the most common roads I use, noting where the potholes are, which lane yo take and even when to switch lanes... I sometimes feel unsafe/stupid driving when I realize that I'm looking at the road rather than in front of me!!

That was my point!

In NYC that is considered a well paved road.

Last summer, I passed over a tiny pothole when the car was in sport setting. Some parts got damaged right under the EDC sensor cover on my front right suspension (I don't remember the parts but it was not the shock absorber). However, I paid 400 USD for the repair.
Now, I always watch that damned potholes and memorize where they are located around the city. If I have to go somewhere where I don't have any idea about the pothole locations on the road, I go by taxi
