Debating about rims?

Ok I'm guessing this topic comes up quite often in this section of the forums, Im now debating about selling my stock E90 rims for some aftermarket rims, does anyone reccomend which one will give better perfomance, or should I decide which ones just look cool? This is my first time really considering rims and I need help!!

Can't go wrong with a set of MORRs.

Great weight reduction from stock and OEM beating VSLR.

Nope. People always post it in the wrong section. It does come up way too often though. Thank you for posting in the right section, but just by reading you would probably find your answer. (You didn't give us much to go off of in your post.)

Cool. You'll probably get 1-2k out of it, depending on cosmetic condition, tire life, type of tire, TPMS, physical damage, etc.

I don't know, what do YOU want out of YOUR wheels?

We're happy to help, but you need to give us better criteria. I could spout off a fountain of things for you to consider. Let's start with the basics:

Do you have a preference as to brand/name brands?
Re: Your earlier question, I don't know. Do YOU want to notice a performance gain? Or do YOU just want it to look good? What is YOUR intended purpose for YOUR vehicle? Do you plan to track? Or just daily drive and look good?
Do you just want them to look good? Are you concerned about prestige?
What's your price range?

Also note that in reality, for a daily driver (which is what I'm getting out of your post), you'll hardly notice a performance gain or loss, regardless of what wheels you pick. I would pick a wheel based off of your price range (something like VMR's in the low price range, and BBS's in the high range) and just get some run-of-the-mill tires, like Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas or Hankook Ventus V12's.

If you only want to spend $1500 please keep your OEM wheels. $1500 wheels are going to be much lower quality than your OEM wheels. I would stick with a quality brand like BBS, Volk, HRE, or Advan.

yep, exactly. Go for a quality forged wheel, or stay stock. Its mind boggling that so many people put garbage 20" $1,000 wheels on a 70k car...

Most people don't know that the stock 220M 19's are made by one of the best forged wheel companies (Fuchs) that also supply wheels for Porsche.
