Well the argument for not getting AW is that so many BMW owners have this colour. It's the most common by a longshot.
And there is NO argument for avoiding IB It's also M exclusive. LMB is the same colour without the purple flake. I prefer it but easily could have rocked IB.

While I love AW, they are EVERYWHERE, and I mean EVERYWHERE. You didn't mention red, but MR looks really good, individual colors are also something I would strongly suggest, maybe even a frozen color. Personally, if I had the option, I would consider fire orange or Monte Carlo Blue.
If you don't want to pay the $5k premium, I would say IB is a great and rare color. |

I see AW, Black or Silver all the time however don't let that stop you from choosing what "you" want.

Did you order it like that, or find it on the lot? I think next time I may seriously consider Individual paint at $5K. I love my Jerez, but maybe I'll spice it up next time with something like Midnight Blue. |

I see both colors "All the time" on the forums, but outside of BMW gathering don't see either regularly.
Regardless, get what will put the biggest smile on your face. I had a IB M Coupe and it looked great when clean. My next ///M will be white.

Colour is of course a personal choice but having owned a jerez m3 with silver interior i must say i didnt like the interior - i ordered it blind. I now own an
AW M3 and i must say this colour suits the M3 perfectly, showing off all off the beautiful details of this car. I would go with AW with either red or black interior - there is a reason AW is one of the more popular colours for the M3 Here are a couple of pics of my old cars silver interior for you in different lighting conditions:

I ordered AW, Silver interior, and aluminum trim. Then I started to second guess my choice though stuck to my gut. I feel the combo looks appropriate for the m3. I believe BMW used the AW/Silver combo for their initial public introduction of the e92 m3.
