fog lights / seat pockets
Ok, so I am realizing this sweet car has no fog lights..
do you guys think the xenon's that look a little yellower than the 5 series, are actually tuned to serve a dual purpose for the fog lights too? Second, behind the passenger and driver seats there is no seat pockets.. I don't really care to be honest but anybody have any idea why? what else is missing? |

I didn't notice the missing seat pockets until I went to put my son's coloring book in one. Granted, I never noticed having seat pockets in my M5 until my son started coloring :-)
It's a minor annoyance, like not having comfort access on the rear door handles. A bigger PITA is not having the forward anchor points for the cargo net in the trunk.

Fog lights are completely useless. Actually, that isn't true. They are really good at getting broken. Instead, the M3 has cooling ducts. Much more useful.

Fog lights are nice when you're worried about critters jumping out onto the road on a dark night, but the light pattern of the M3 seems to do fine without them. Not sure why... I haven't driven enough at night to say. I also haven't driven in fog yet :-)

check out the BMW accessories webpage, i'm pretty sure you can buy something that gets your the seat back pockets as a add on to your seats, you can def. get it done but it'll cost ya.

All the douchbags that drive around with their foglights on got together and decided they didn't want to let M3 drivers into their club. They figured the douchbag factor would just be over the top. I am thankful for that.
And fwiw, I have pockets on the back of my seats. Cargo nets really. I don't remember what option package it came with, or maybe it only came with coupes? In any case, I don't recall ever actually using them for anything. |

Don't worry about the douchebags...stupidity finds a way. I'm sure there are M3's out there with bright blue "foglights" blasting all the time and blinding everybody when they actually encounter fog.
