Don't do it. 20" CH-R's are really heavy wheels. Even the 19's are heavy enough to keep me from buying them. Otherwise, in terms of style and fit, they are perfect for the M3.

Offset also depends on what sized tire you want to use, but you can go to the bbs website and look at what fits the M3.

Is 1lb per tire really that big of a difference? Does this mean you would go ZCP over CH-R because that is my current boggle. Great prices on CH-R right now (cheaper than a used set of ZCP on this forum) but they seem to get very bad press as far as the weight. I'm mostly just driving around town... would it really make that big of a difference? If I go to the track I'll get some 18s.

If you have no plans to track on the CH-R's I say go for it. It's by far one of the best wheels out. You should not see any difference in your daily driving mileage.....Phil

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking!

Any suggestions on going w/ the 19x9 +20 vs 19x9.5 +35 w/ a 10mm spacer? Those are pretty much the two options given to me. I'm leaning towards the 19x9 with no spacer as I've always been weary of them. I'm hoping to be able to run my current PS2s for a while even though they may be stretched a bit on the 10.5 rears.

I've just confirmed with someone running this set up that the spacer isn't needed on the 9.5 wheel. In fact I've confirmed it through a couple of sources........Phil

Awesome!! Do you know if they will look 'sunk' without the spacer? I definitely want a somewhat aggressive stance.

Anyone have a photo of an E90 w/ 19x9.5 CH-R up front w/o a spacer?

I think the E90 is the same up front as the 92/93. The rear is where there's a small difference. Check this out http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=752950 ........Phil

My bad. I haven't been on here for a while so I lost track of what threads are current.

I'm not sure I follow your question but here goes. My fronts are 19x9 +20 with 255 Conti DW. I run a 5mm spacer. Rears are 19x10.5 +25, 275 tire, also with a 5mm spacer. I'll probably remove the spacer and go with a 285 in the rear when these wear out. Here's a pic to give you an idea of fitment:
