A month ago I applied the wax without claying it and it didnt come out as good as this time, it really helps claying the surface before applying the cleaner and the wax, I strongly recommend it
I also bought the SV clay.. so I am planning to clay it first! I had the SV CrystalRock on my car before, it was applied by a certified SV detailer and lasted 1 yr. I rather try the BW myself now, I know its not going to come out like the CR but I am really excited about it.. just didnt have time yet

post some pictures once you have waxed it, it is a straight forward process and it is fun to do it specially after you see the results, I expected a much tougher job but this wax actually buffs out pretty easy if you pre-apply the clay and the cleaner
good luck!

This wax works great, just wash the car and it keeps shining like the first day you waxed it

I did this yesterday, but were you able to get all the cleaner fluid completely out of the paint, or does it leave a slightly greasy film?
I tried using a towel, then a microfiber, then a polish mit, but it still left a film.

I spent more time getting the cleaner fluid out than getting the wax out, it felt to me like the cleaner fluid kind of sealed the paint for the wax to be applied but it got out and left the surface very smooth
I only used microfiber towels for the whole process
I saw the pictures you posted and your car looks fine to me
You will notice the difference the next time you wash your car, it will shine like if you have just waxed it

okay, the wax is on my car for almost 2 weeks now and to be honest, I love it!
hand-washing and rinsing it off is so easy! it makes a huge difference, its really a pleasure to see how shiny and clean the car looks after a wash!

one side question:
your car is also a convertible and came with black windows trim? is it a package only available in Europe? here all verts come with chrome trim and I am trying to have them wrapped with matte black vinyl but havent found a professional to do it

Ill try to post them soon!

My E93 is a US-Specs as well.. I ordered it march 08 over military sales here in Germany! There was no option for me eighter, only chrome trim for the US-Specs! When my salesman gave me my vehicle comfirmation order, it showed shadowline trim I knew from all the forums that shadowline trim was not an option, so I waited until they started my production. My Salesman told me that I wld be actually one of the first customer that will recieve their E93 M3 US-Specs.. So my car arrived May 30th 08 with chrome trim! But i already brought my order with me, so they eighter had to keep the car or fix it to shadowline trim! Tooked them 2 days though..
I guess I was just lucky.. figured that wldnt happening again after me!

But if I were you, I wld definitly vinyl wrap it, it makes huge difference! ps. use glossy back

I finally found a professional installer for the vinyl wrap, you said glossy will look better? I was thinking on matte since the side mirror trim is also matte but you think glossy will look better? I am still on time to change the request to glossy, let me know your comments ASAP

Are you sure that your side mirror trim is matte? Maybe it is an e93 thing. My coupe has a glossy black finish.

Either way whether matte or glossy, your idea of matching that trim is a good idea.

My side mirror trim is matte, that is why I think it will look better with matte vinyl but I read somewhere that matte vinyl looks kind of cheap

Did all of u guys just use ur hands to apply the wax an wipe it off or did u guys use an orbital?

And the cleaner fluid came off easily with no greasy film?

How often are u supposed to clay?
How often do u reapply wax?
How long does the wax last?
How do u know if the wax is still there?

The cleaner fluid didnt come as easy as the wax
As per your other questions I am not an expert detailer so lets wait for Scheerspeed to comment on those topics since he is a pro, I think this wax is supposed to last up to 6 months but I am planning to wax it again as soon as the paint surface doesnt feel smooth, I waxed my car 2 months ago and it still feels smooth

My side mirrors were matte as well! I remember BMW Germany switched them out as well! Now they are glossy, so it matches my trim.. totally forgot about that!
But you are right, it wld bother me as well, if my trim was glossy and the mirrors matte! Thats a tough one.. It will be expensive to switch out the whole mirror! I am just used to glossy, but I think matte trim wldnt look bad at all!

Kinda ridiculous that shadowline trim is not an option on E93s US-Specs
